John McVay
Ira John McVay, 76, Augusta, Cessna Aircraft maintenance worker, died Sunday, June 29, 2003.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors include: wife, Alene of the home; son, Ira John McVay Jr., daughter, Glenda McVay, granddaughter, Judy McVay, sister, Mary Wakefield, all of Augusta.
Memorial established with Salvation Army.

Elsie A. Clun
Homemaker Elsie Clum, 95, Augusta, died Sunday, July 6,2003.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Clum leaves grandchildren Coleen Dalton, Dr. Del Dalton, Burt Dalton, Mike Clum, Jaquline Steffen, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Lynn Clum Sr., a daughter, a son, three sisters, and three brothers.
Memorials to the Head Start program in Augusta have been suggested.
Darrell L. Winzer
Darrell L. Winzer, 67, Augusta, retired Butler County Sanitary Landfill and highway department heavy equipment operator, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003.
Celebration of Life service was held this afternoon at the Augusta First Baptist Church.
Mr. Winzer was born in Augusta on Oct. 10, 1935. He was the son of the late Robert August and Pauline (Leidy) Winzer.
He was a member of the Augusta First Baptist church and served as a Deacon. He was a Past Master and 33 Member of the Mystic Tie Lodge; a member of Eastern Star; Boys Brigade leader at the First Baptist Church; Kansas Hunter Safety instructor; served with Four Winds Girl Scouts. He was an avid outdoorsman; sports enthusiast; enjoyed square dancing, camping, crafts and golfing.
On June 11, 1961, he married Betty Marleen Bright in Augusta.
He was preceded in death by brother, Robert Winzer; sisters, Dorothy Harper and Paula Winzer.
Survivors are: wife, Betty Marleen Winzer; daughter, Kathleen Winzer of Augusta; brother, Larry D. Winzer of El Dorado; sisters, Donna Frey, El Dorado, Madelyn Stewart of Towanda, Gail Shaver of Monument, Colo.; countless loved ones and friends.
Family requests memorial donations to the Augusta Senior Center, 640 Osage, Augusta, 67010.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta had charge of the arrangements.

Leonard Joe Morris, 68, Wichita, retired United States Navy, brother of Rita Wendler of Augusta, died Saturday, June 28, 2003.
There will be a private family service.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma Parsons
Emma E. Parsons, 93, Wichita, homemaker, sister of George Metzger of Augusta, died Monday, June 30, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Broadway Mortuary Chapel in Wichita.. Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater.
Other survivors: husband, Richard; two sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Broadway Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
