Viva L. Zang

Viva L. Zang, 93, Augusta, retired Butler County school teacher, former resident of El Dorado, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003.
Her service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, at First Baptjst Church in El Dorado. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivor include: son, James E. Zang of El Dorado; daughters, Joy Leatherman of Augusta and Betty Barnett of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, Lawrence Ray of Wichita; sister, Georgia Barlett of Charleston, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial established with First Baptist Church of El Dorado.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado is in charge of the
arrangements.

Denny Shaver

Denny B. Shaver, 62, Wichita, Dolese Brothers truck driver, father of Kimberly Buffalow of Augusta, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
Visitation with family will be possible from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include: daughter, Angie Shaver of Cheyenne, Wyo.; mother, Dortha Shaver of Wichita; sister, Linda Bontrager of Wichita; one grandson.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wcihita is handling the arrangements.

Betty Chancey

Betty Jane Chancey, 77, Bixby, Okla., mother of Larry Chancey of Augusta, died Thursday, Aug. 14,2003. •
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18 in the Bixby Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents,f Sylvester Everett and Elsie (Brown) Peters.
Other survivors include:, husband, Kenneth; daughter, Constance Barajas of Inola, Okla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Leonard & Marker-Funeral Home of Bixby, Okla, has charge of the arrangements.

Michael David Panzer

Michael David Panzer, 35, Wichita, aircraft sheet metal mechanic, son of Dennis and Maria Panzer of Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Visitation is possible from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Other survivors include: son, Tevin Panzer of Andover; daughter, Tanice Mohr of Andover; sisters, Didi Scott of Wichita and Tina Leake of Pace, Fla.
A memorial has been established with the children’s education fund.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

George W. Greene

George W. Greene, 83, Rolla, Mo., father and father-: in-law of George Robert and Jennifer Greene of Augusta,: died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003. His funeral service will bet held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 16., at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
He was a veteran of the' United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean War.
Other survivors include: wife, Lois Greene of the home; daughters, Nancy Schlieper of Salem, Mo., Margaret Munoz of Kansas City, Virginia Atteberry of Newburg, Mo., Ada Wood of Dorchester, 111.; brother, Charles Greene of Houston, Texas; sister, Nana Louise Bowling of Clarksville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the American Legion Post 270.
Arrangements are under the direction of Null & Son Funeral Home of Rolla, Mo.

Helen DaMetz

Homemaker Helen DaMetz, 88, Douglass, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Cumberland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors are: daughter and son-in-law, Bette and Jerry Mayfield of Douglass; grandson and family, Devlin, Judy and Tyler Mayfield of Winfield.
Memorial established with Medicalodge of Douglass.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
