Mildred Richards

Mildred A. Richards, 93, Wichita, Bible school teacher, sister of Jim E. Isaacs of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003.
Her graveside service was held today, Sept. 12, at White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita.
Other survivors include: son, Jack D. Sampson of Green Bay, Wis.; brother, Edwin Isaacs of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; sister, Audrey I. West of Okayama, Japan; one granddaughter.
Broadway Mortuary of Wichita handled the arrangements.

Raymond Johnson

Raymond Lee Johnson, 52, Derby, brother of Robert Johnson of Douglass, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 15. Visitation on Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m., both at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Other survivors include: brothers, George of Wichita, Fred of Topeka, Jerry of Sun Prairie, Wis.; sisters, Clara, Topeka, Loreda of Derby; stepmother, Mary Johnson of Mulvane; stepbrothers, Kendall Wrobel, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Donald Wrobel of Slidell, La., Fred Withrow of Milwaukee, Wis.; stepsister, Susan Nesbitt of Haysville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the Kansas Humane Society.
Smith Mortuary of Derby has charge of the arrangements.

Frederick E.Wendt

Frederick E. Wendt, 71, Wichita, retired Boeing Wichita electrician, brother and brother-in-law of Audrey and Leroy Gray of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003.
Funeral service was held today, Sept. 12, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.
Other survivors include: wife, Maria Wendt of Wichita; sons, Gary Sawyers of Dallas, Texas, John Cruz of Bossier City, La., Albert Cruz, Joseph Cruz, both of Wichita; daughters, Marcia Guzman of Santa Rita, Guam, Janet McAvoy of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl E. Wendt.
Memorial established with the nurses training program of the 40 & 8 Voiture 58 Chapter.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta had charge of the arrangements.

Actor John Ritter

LOS ANGELES (AP) -John Ritter, whose portrayal of the bumbling but lovable Jack Tripper helped make the madcap comedy series "Three's Company" a smash hit in the 1970s, has died, his publicist and longtime assistant said Friday. He was 54.
Ritter fell ill Thursday on the set of his ABC sitcom "8 Simple Rules ... For Dating My Teenage Daughter.”

Betty L. Lynam

Homemaker Betty L. Woolery Lynam, 67, Wichita, sister of Robert J. McCalla and Patricia Boggess, both of Augusta, died Thursday, Sept. 11,2003.
Her graveside service was held Monday, Sept. 15,at Udall Cemetery.
Other survivors include: sons, Michael Woolery of Hibbing, Minn., Randall Woolery of Udall, Kelly Woolery of Hays; daughter, Cynthia Woolery of Wichita; brother, Gary Haigler of El Dorado.
Broadway Mortuary of Wichita handled the arrangements.

Ella Mae Ferry

Ella Mae Ferry, 80, Andale, retired Catholic Diocese of Wichita elementary school teacher, formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Mark Catholic Church in St. Mark, Kans.
A rosary service will be at at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Sept. 19, at St. Mark Catholic Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Marjean Horsch and Janise Patry, both of Wichita; sisters, Rogene Tobeck of Platte City, Mo., Ruth Bellamy of Loveland, Colo.; four grandchildren.
