Marie L. Young
Marie L. (Davidson) Young, 70, Augusta, loving mother, sister, and wife died on her 70th birthday, Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
Her memorial service was held today, Sept. 22, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
She was the daughter of Horatio L. and Leora R. (Law) Albertson.
She had retired from Pratt & Lambert and also worked many years at Lehr’s Restaurant.
Marie and her twin sister, Fleda were born in Sullivan County, Mo., on Sept. 19,
She spent the first 17 years in northern Missouri.
She married Edward Davidson in May 1950. They moved to Augusta in 1951 during the aircraft boom.
She was a homemaker and gave birth to three daughters and two sons. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in March 1970, which left her partially paralyzed, and her first husband died in Sept. 1973.
Even though she was considered handicapped, she did not feel she was.
She remarried in June 1979 to Fred Young and they filled their years together working, traveling, and enjoying life until their passing.
Mrs. Young leaves a: sister and brother-in-law, Fleda and Dave Campbell of Missoula, Mont.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Glenda Davidson of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Leanna Davidson of Andover; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Calvin Jones of Wichita; daughter and son-in-law, Jonola and Randy Powell of Nederland, Texas; daughter, Claudia Landers of Wichita; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with the Salvation Army.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta handled the arrangements.

Julia A. Havice, 93, Augusta, retired LPN, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
Her funeral service was held today. Sept. 22, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: son, Charlie Havice of Augusta; daughters, Edith Swigert of Long Lane, Mo., Janette Swigert of Buffalo, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Sida Howard Havice; daughter, Eva Ann; son, Junior Howard FJavice.
Memorial established with First Southern Baptist Church of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Kaylin Marie Barnett
Kaylin Marie Barnett, stillborn great-granddaughter of Fem and Charles Boyer of Augusta, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003.
Her graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 19, at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
Other survivors include: mother, Tiffany Barnett of El Dorado; father, Jared Lewallen, with the U.S. Army in Iraq; grandparents, Jerry and Nancy Barnett; Ken and Lee Lewallen , all of El Dorado; three uncles.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado handled the arrangements.
Grace A. Barnhart
Grace A. Barnhart, 84, Riverside, Calif., formerly of Andover and Augusta, retired Beech Aircraft employee, died Sept. 7, 2003.
Her graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Cowley County Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Arkansas City.
She leaves sons, Calvin and Eugene; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and son, Lloyd.
Lula Mae Henderson
Lula Mae Henderson, 92, El Dorado, homemaker, mother of Connie Nichols of Augusta, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003.
Funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 22, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Other survivors include: sons, Bill of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Bob of Wichita, and Pete of El Dorado; daughters, Nelda McClure of Latham, Linda Davis of El Dorado; 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and five great-greatchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters, one grandson, one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado had charge of the arrangements.
