Richard F. Carr Sr.

Richard F. Carr Sr., 56, Winfield, carpet salesman, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003.
Private services will be held.
Survivors are: wife, Bobbie J. Carr of Winfield; son, Richard F. Carr Jr. of Pennsylvania.; daughter, Theresa Saguto of Winfield, 10 grandchildren.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

Doyce Wayland

V. Doyce Wayland, 73, Augusta, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003.
Her funeral service was held today, Dec. 12, at Augusta First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio.
Mrs. Wayland was born in Izard County, Ark. and lived for many years in Andover, where she was active in the community and at Faith Baptist Church.
She loved working with children, and was a teacher at her church and with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She was also employed for several years by the Andover school district.
Her survivors are: daughter Janice Wayland of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Denise Wayland of Augusta, daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Grant Lowe of Boston; grandchildren, Lissa, Karri, and Luke Wayland, Henri and Flannery Lowe; step grandchildren, Jenna and Michael Gambale; three sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayland.
A memorial has been established with Child Evangelism
Fellowship, 1109 S. Glendale, Suite 100, Wichita, 67218.
Broadway Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Donald Shinkle

Donald “Rex” Shinkle, 77, Augusta, retired Boeing machinist, died Thursday, Dec. 11,2003.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, both at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors are: wife, Elsie of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Jr. and Kitty Shinkle of Mulvane; daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Dave McCune of Augusta, Lucinda and Lyle Arnold of Neodesha, Mary and Chase Williams of Augusta; brother, Max Shinkle of Fall River, Larry Shinkle of Haysville; sister, Bessie Hime of Fall River; 13 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, Danny Dale Shinkle; parents, Ed and Artelia Shinkle; grandson, Johnny McCune; three brothers; one sister.
Memorial established with American Heart Association, 707 N. Main, Wichita, 67203.

Carolyn L. Rozof

Carolyn L. Rozof, 47, Wichita, formerly of l Augusta, passed away - Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 2 p.m. on * Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Augusta First Baptist Church.
Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Rozof worked as a paralegal secretary at Ayesh Law Offices. On Oct. 18, 1985 she married Bob Rozof in Wichita. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: son, Jordan Martin of Wichita; daughter, Leah Martin of Wichita; step son, Jesse Rozof of Olathe; brother, David Anderson and wife, Nancy of Augusta; brother, Larry Anderson and wife, Lynda of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, Mason, Lydia, Brittany, Jake, and Cameron; brother-in-law, Tom Chappell.
She was preceded in death by parents, George and Mattie (Thompson) Anderson, brother, Dean Anderson and sister, Linda Chappell.
Memorials may be directed to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Okla.
Other survivors include: husband, Verlin; daughter, Barbara Swafford of El Dorado; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Flowers of Susanville, Calif.; sister, Alice Jean Coffman of Plano, Texas. 1
She was preceded in death by: parents, William Homer and Glessie (Tatum) Flowers; brother Billy Ray Flowers; sister, Alma Louise Choate.

Albert Rumsey Jr.

Albert Rumsey Jr., 83, Dodge City, stepfather of Twila Blacklidge of Augusta, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003.
His graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Fort Dodge Cemetery.
Other survivors include: wife, Deltie; daughters, Donna McLemore of Redding, Calif., Vicki Walters of Julliett, Ga.; step son Daniel Riley of Dodge City; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Swaim Funeral Home of Dodge City has charge of the arrangements.
