Viola Miller

Viola Elizabeth Miller, 90, Augusta, homemaker, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 12, at the Douglass Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Deaver officiating.
There will be no viewing.
Survivors are: son, Bob Miller of El Dorado; son and daughter-in-law," Dan and Karen Miller of EJ Dorado; daughter, Claudia Whetstone of Ellinwood; sister, Mae Diamont of Spikard, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Make-A-Wish Foundation in Wichita.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Alma Brummett

Alma Pearl Brummett, 104, Augusta, retired sales clerk for Innes and Henry’s department stores, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: nephew, Loren Malone of Augusta, E.C. Hutchinson of Houston, Texas; niece, Ruby Lee Kunitz of Edmond, Okla..
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. Brummett.
Memorial established with Shrine Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63001.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

.Richard S. Criger

Richard S. Criger, 81, Douglass, farmer, died Sunday, March 7, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Glaze Cemetery in Cainsville, Mo.
Visitation from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane.
Survivors include: son, Richard L. Criger of Douglass; stepchildren, Peter Jansen of Overland Park, , Andrew Jansen and Christina Shephard of Wichita; sisters, Carol Ukana and Mary Craig, both of Wichita; seven grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen; second wife, Betty and infant brother, Bernard Criger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glaze Cemetery Association, 805 Washington St., Cainsville, Mo. 64632.
Senter-Smith Mortuary of Mulvane is handling the arrangements.

Robert “Rob” Bowdre

Robert “Rob” Bowdre, 28, El Dorado, former grocery store employee and meat cutter, died Thursday, March 11, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Headley Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include: former common law wife, Grace Fiscus of Wichita; daughters, Allison and Isabella Bowdre, both of Wichita; son, Nicholas Holder of Michigan; father, Bob Bowdre of Arkansas City; mother and step father, Sandra and Jim McReynolds of Augusta; brothers, Bryan Bowdre of El Dorado, Jacob Smith of Wichita; sister, Lisa Cave of Augusta; step sister, Shirena McReynolds of El Dorado; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Robert Bowdre Memorial Fund c/o Prairie State Bank, 512 State, Augusta, 67010.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
