Joe Stanley Turner
Joe Stanley Turner, 61, Emporia, maintenance employee at Newman Regional Health Center in Emporia and United States Army National Guardsmen, brother of Jack Turner of Augusta, died Sunday, March 7, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia. Military graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, at Roberts- Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
Other survivors include: wife, Darlene Donna (Demoss) Turner; son, Shane Turner of Olathe; daughters, Angela Lanora Turner and Jolene Marie Turner, both of Emporia, Sheri Darlene Turner of Olathe; brothers, John Turner of Clay Center, David Turner of Arkansas City, Jim Turner of Littleton, Colo., Bill Turner of Andover, Richard Turner of El Dorado; sisters, Norma Thompson, Mary Camp, and Barbara Hutson, all of El Dorado, Carol Goss and Frances Healy, both of Wichita; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Harley Turner, and sister, Lois Williams.
Memorials established with Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home of Emporia has charge of the arrangements.

Alma Brummett, 104, Augusta died this morning.
Services are pending with Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Joy Marie Whitehead
Joy Marie Whitehead, 47, hairstylist and mother of Will Whitehead of Douglass, died Monday, March 8, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 12, at the Family Worship Center in Wichita.
Other survivors include: former husband, Ron Whitehead of Douglass; mother, Betty King of Wichita; brother, Max King of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oma Ray King and brother, Oma Ray King, II.
Memorials established with Alcoholics Anonymous and American Lung Association.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Robert E. “Bob” Nispel, 72, Douglass, farmer and retired business director for USD 259 Wichita, died Monday, March 8, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Douglass United Methodist Church.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. this evening at Hilyard-. Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.
Survivors include: wife, Ann; sons, Brent and Bruce of Douglass; daughter, Brook Roberts of Douglass; brother, Stan Nispel of Wichita; nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorial donations may be made to Douglass United Methodist Church, Douglass Senior Center and the Douglass Public Library.
