Richard H. Clements

Richard Howard “Dick” Clements, 73, Wichita, retired accountant for Laro Drilling, brother of LaWanda C. Bush of Douglass, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004.
Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. this evening at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita. Funeral service will be at-10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Donna; parents, Thomas and Elma Clements; sister, June Bush.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67214.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Viva Markham Dewart

Homemaker Viva Markham Dewart, 94, Douglass, died Sunday, March 14,2004, in Glendale, Ariz.
Her graveside service was today, March 19, at the Douglass Cemetery.
Mrs. Dewart leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Leroy nd Beverly Markham of Benedict; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jim Russum of Casa Grande, Ariz, Marilyn and Phil Donnelley of Glendale, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with The Georgia House in Glendale Ariz. as well as the Hospice of the Valley in Peoria, Ariz.
The Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass is in charge of local arrangements.

Tyler E. Kropf

Tyler E. Kropf, 33, Augusta, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2004.
This 1989 Bluestem High School graduate was a driver for Kropf Trucking.
His funeral service was held today, March 23, in the Bluestem High School Gymnasium at Leon. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Tyler was active in high school athletics and loved baseball.
On March 9, 2001, he married Dana (Gowen) in El Dorado. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter Kennadi Jo Kropf, father Eldon Kropf and his wife Lynn, all of Leon, mother Shirley West of El Dorado, sister Gia Hertel and her husband Ben of South Coffeyville, Okla., grandmother Hope Kropf of El Dorado, mother-and father-in-law Mary and Dewayne Gowen, sisters-in-law Tia Kroulick and Amy McCune, nieces and nephews Trevor Hertel, Christian and Bailey Kroulick, Kelby and Cayden McCune.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, A.H. Kropf, Kenneth and Mildred Lill.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Tyler Kropf Memorial Fund c/0 White Eagle Credit Union, 2820 N. Ohio, Augusta, KS, 67010.
The Headley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
