Brenton Cyphert

Brenton J. Cyphert, 49, Wichita, former American Airlines employee, brother of Erin McEwen of Augusta, died Saturday, April 10, 2004.
Rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m., with funeral services scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Wichita.
Other survivors are: parents, Robert and Elaine Cyphert of Wichita; sisters, Ann Williams, Mary Fisher, both of Wichita; brother, Jon Cyphert of Wichita; 13 nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Watson’s Garden Chapel in Wichita.

Edith Nadine Tarman

Edith Nadine (Simpson) Tarman, 83, Augusta, homemaker, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, and Sunday, May 2.
Survivors include: son, Galen Tarman of Lawrence; daughters, Cheryl Miller of Augusta, Angela Allenbach of Wichita; brother, Robert Simpson of Augusta; sister, Geneva Basore of Halstead; six grandchildren; one greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon.
Memorial established with First Christian Church of Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.

Charlene Thompson

Charlene Thompson, 77, Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Augusta, homemaker, died Friday, April 16, 2004.
Her funeral service was held today at the Sun City First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She is survived by daughter, Dale Anne and husband Larry Bolinger of Sun City; sister, Maxine Lackey of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is handling local arrangements.

DeLana Gordon

DeLana “Dee” (Steward) Gordon, 53, Wichita, retired UPS clerk, mother and mother-in-law of Stacie and Eric Smith of Augusta, died Friday, April 30, 2004.
Her funeral service was held today, May 3, at Westlink Christian Church in Wichita.
Other survivors include: husband, Mark; sons, Jeffrey Poston and Curtis Poston of Wichita; sister, Rhonda Clyne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tut and Flo Gordon; step father, Richard Evans, all of Wichita; nine grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary West of Wichita handled the arrangements.

Lillian Abigail Chandler

Lillian Abigail Chandler, infant daughter of Robert and Bethany Chandler of Augusta, died Thursday, April 15, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, April 20, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: sister, Ariane; brother, Aidan; grandparents, Dennis and Susan Young of El Dorado, Harris and Mary Chandler of Augusta; great-grandparents, Sarah
Gustafson, Maxine Young, both of El Dorado, Helen Lindsay of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Roy M. King

Roy M. King, 96, Arkansas City, brother of Inez Foster of Douglass, died Thursday, April 29, 2004.
His funeral service was held today, May 3, at Miles Funeral Home in Winfield.
Other survivors are: brothers, John of Winfield, Ralph of Belle Plaine; sisters, Muriel Friend, Mary Spencer, both of Winfield, Edith Wells of Mulvane, Thelma Brown of Lamar, Mo.; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were under the direction of Miles Funeral Home of Winfield.
