Douglass Farmer Dies Saturday, Services Scheduled For Tuesday
Lowell Keely, 64, Douglass, a retired fanner, died Saturday in Douglass.
Services will be at 2 p.m, Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Douglass. Rev. Bill Scott will officiate. Burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery. Keely was bom Jan. 24, 1919, in rural Douglass, the son of Victor and Effie Brooks Keely. He was married Nov. 23, 1949, to Wilma Jean McDougal in Douglass.
Survivors include his mother Effie, his wife Jean, a son Alan, a daughter Linda Rhodes, a sister Barbara Keely and two grandchildren, all of Douglass.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in Douglass.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Verda Gregory
Verda A. Gregory, 75, a Wichita homemaker and mother of Gary Gregory of Rose Hill, died Saturday. Her funeral service was at 2 o’clock this afternoon at Resthaven Mortuary.
Bom July 30, 1907, she is also survived by another son James of Wichita; a daughter Carol Jackson of Moore, Okla.; sister Berniece McCoy of Wichita, and five grandchildren.

Ruth E. Robinson Died Yesterday
Ruth Evelyn Robinson, 59, College Station, Texas, died Sunday. She was in Augusta visiting her sister Alyce Riggs and family.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eubank’s Mortuary in Canton, Texas.
Robinson was bom Sept. 11, 1923 in Augusta to F.Y. and Bessie Wedding. She married Jack E. Robinson, who preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by son Bobbie Jack Robinson, Austin, Texas; daughter Sharon Bond, College Station, Texas; sisters Alyce Riggs of Augusta and Irene Hutcheson of Wichita.

Thissen Service Set For Thursday
Cornelius A. Thissen, 80, father of Bob Thissen of Augusta, died Monday. His funeral service has been set for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wichita.
Thissen, a retired carpenter, is survived by his wife Clara; sons Norbert of Chillicothe, Mo., Father Kevin of Denver, Francis of Fort Wayne, Ind., Martin of Boulder, Colo., Jerome of Goddard, Father Donald of Wichita; daughters, Esther Ross of Lander Wyo., Sister Rita Marie of Ponca City, Patricia Kampling of Ingalls, Mary Jane Ely of Lewisville, Texas; and a sister, Helen Cunningham of Kingman.
A memorial has been established with St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Augustan’s Father Dies At Age 66
Walter Frank Willis, 66, father of Augustan Charles Willis, died Monday. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern, N.C.
Willis, who retired from the U.S. Navy, is survived by wife Betty H.; sons Charles O. of Augusta; Michael of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter Deborah L. Walczak of Quantico, Va; mother Myrtle Gray, brother, Edward Housman, both of Wichita; sister, Freida Hurelle of Seattle, Wash., and three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with The Hospice of Craven County Home Health Care, P.O. Box 1390, New Bern, N.C. 28560.

Rosa Windholz Dies at 81
Rosa Windholz, 81, Walker, mother of Augustan Hilary A. Windholz died Monday. The service is scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Walker, Kan.
In addition to the son here, she leaves another son Harold of Enid, Okla.; brothers, Simon Weigel of Oakley, Ignatius Weigel of Sterling, Colo.; sisters, Anna Mader, Mary Mader, Bertha Schwebach all of Oakley, Clara Schwebach of Moriarty, N.M., Leona Mehrring of Denver, Colo.
Kline’s Mortuary at Victoria, Kan., is in charge of the arrangements.
