Griffin Service To Be Monday
Harry P. Griffin, 78, brother of Ollie Crowell of Douglass, died Wednesday.
His funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Griffin is also survived by two daughters, Patsy Carver of Wichita, and Ramona Ward of Haysville; sisters Ada Headley of Independence and Fern Hukle of Wichita. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Koob Dies At 81, Service Saturday
Anthony “Tony” Koob, father of Augustan Wanda Lawhon died Wednesday at the age of 81. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Andover.
Koob is survived by his wife Hazel; son, Leo “Rex” of Wichita; daughters, Wanda Lawhon, Augusta; and Juanita Duckworth of Wihcita; brother, Walt, Merced, Calif.; and sister Eleanor McGuigan, Eugene, Ore.
Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, with Downing and Lahey Mortuary in charge. Memorials have been established with the church.

Mother Dies In Wichita
Grace M. Banz, 67, Wichita, mother of Daniel M. Banz of Augusta, died Thursday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service was at 11 a.m. today at the Johnson & Son Memorial Chapel in Hutchinson. Father Lawrence Traffis officiated. Cremation followed.
She was born April 17, 1916 in Hutchinson to Herbert and Mary E. Rich Chambers
She married Derrald L. Banz April 4, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1946.
She was a telephone operator for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Wichita.
Survivors also include other sons, Derrald M.of Gaithersburg, Md., David L. of Tulsa, Okla., and Richard L. of Hartford; a brother, Morell Chambers of Coral Cables, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Rites Pending For C. Bannon
Clarence Bannon, 86,
Douglass, father of Jack Bannon of Augusta, died last night.
Services are pending at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.

C.M. Harrison Dies At 94
Clara M. Harrison, 94, Augusta, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the McFarland-Foss Funeral Home in Dearborn, Mich.
A memorial has been established with the American Bible Society.
She was born Oct. 23, 1888 in Evansville, Ind., to Conrad and Anna Bromm Moll.
Survivors include a son, Joel of Dearborn, and a daughter, Anna Whitham of Augusta.

C. Bannon Dies At 86
Clarence Bannon, 86, Douglass, retired farmer and real estate salesman, died Sunday in Haysville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Friends Church in Rose Hill. Burial will
be in the church cemetery there.
Bannon was born Nov. 1, 1896, in Boone County, Mo., the son of George W. Bannon and Lucy Amy Daniels. They moved to Douglass when he was four years old. Bannon married Gladys Hamilton Aug. 16, 1955, in Winfield. She survives.
He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; one son, Jack Bannon, Augusta; one daughter, Mar-valine Ray, Haysville; two step-sons, Lawrence Davis of Topeka and Donald Davis of Atlanta, Kan.; two step-daughters, Viola Nelson of Chula Vista, Calif, and Cordelia Hinshaw, Emporia; one brother, George O. Bannon of Wichita; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
