Toddy Haines Barteldes

Toddy Haines Barteldes, 88, Lawrence, died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral service was held today, June 1, at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. There was a private burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lawrence.
He survives at the home. Also surviving are two sons, Bart Barteldes of Perry, and Chris Barteldes of Lawrence, and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital
Endowment Association and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary at 120 W. Thirteenth, Lawrence, KS 66044-3402.

Debra L. Furlow

Debra L. Furlow, 43, Andover, retired Concrete Pumping Services, Inc. coowner, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, surrounded by her {family after a long coura-! geous battle with cancer, j Her life celebration service will be at 1 p.m. jj Saturday, May 29, at Central | Christian Church in Wichita.
Visitation with her family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 28, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Mike; son and daughter-in-law, Damien and Nicole Furlow of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law, Denesa and Andy SO’Hanlon of Spring Hill; parents, Willard and Betty Shafer of Towanda; brother land sister-in-law, W.L. and ‘Kerri Shafer of Augusta; sisters and brothers-in-law, ;Kay and Bill Woodruff of Wichita, Cindy and Randy Struble of Wellington, Donna Stang of Texarkana, Ark.; grandson, Kristopher Bostick of Wichita; seven nephews and one niece; three great- nephews and one great-niece
A memorial has been established for the Debra Furlow Charitable Trust.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.

Mary Rebecca Toon

Former Augusta resident Mary Rebecca Toon, 64, Arkansas City, homemaker, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard.
Interment will be at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard.
Her survivors include: husband, Merle Dean Toon ; sons, Melvin and Martin of Arkansas City; daughters, Michele Zavala of Arkansas City, Melinda Tristani of Middleburg, Fla.; brothers, Jewel Berner of El Dorado, Charles Berner of Hutchinson; sisters, Nancy Mallory of Winfield, Pat Horton of Atlanta, Arleta Greenwood of Winfield; nine grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, and her first son, Merle Dean Toon, Jr.
A memorial has been established with Hospice and contributions may be left with Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard, who is handling the arrangements.

Susan Starnes

Susan Darlene “Sue” (Sutton) Starnes, 61, Odessa, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died April 30, 2004.
Her funeral service has been held.
Survivors include: daughter, Sheila Barnes of Augusta; son, Samuel Starnes, Jr. of Denison, Iowa; sisters, Deloris Reeves of Fla., Becky McCormick of Texas; brothers, Darris Sutton, Ricky Sutton, Charles Sutton, all of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Odessa Funeral Home of Odessa, Texas handled the arrangements.
