Roxie D. Wampler, 52, Augusta, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004.
A visitation with family present will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Garden Chapel of Watson Funeral Home in Wichita. Friends are welcome to attend and share memories with the family.
Survivors include: husband, Bob; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Roberta Wampler of Rose Hill; parents, Jeff and Jean Buzzard of Hutchinson; brothers, Mike Buzzard and Kirk
Buzzard, both of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South Central Mental Health Association, 2365 W. Central, El Dorado, 67042.
Watson’s Garden Chapel of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Ron D. Whitehead
Ron D. Whitehead, 51, Douglass, painter for Cessna Aircraft, died Saturday, July 10, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Douglass First Christian Church.
Survivors include: sons, Beau Galvan of Wichita and Will Whitehead of Douglass; mother and step father, Ruth Ann Whitehead-Reeb and Raymond Reeb of Wichita;
mother-in-law, Betty King of Wichita; brothers, Jim and Bill Whitehead, both of Wichita;
' sisters, May Humble, Shirley Marck and Diana Fowler, all of ^ Wichita, Cindy Towne of Wellington, Pam Broome of Toronto, Kans., Teresa Arnett of Califorinia; several loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: former wife, Joy; father, William T. Whitehead; father-in-law, Oma Ray King; brothers-in-law, Oma Ray King II, and Max Allen King.
Memorial established with Alcoholics Anonymous, 2812 E. English, Wichita, 67211.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Beatrice M. Lary
Beatrice “Bea” M. Lary, Wichita, mother and mother-in-law of Renee and Warner Harrison of Augusta, died Saturday, July 10, 2004.
Her funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
Visitation with family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Resthaven Mortuary.
Survivors are: husband, Roney L. Lary; children, Carol Warren, Nanhette Godrey, Clinton Lary, all of Wichita; brother, Billy Hall of Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Wichita.
Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita.
Betty Ann Henry
Betty Ann Henry, 83, mother of Craig Henry of Augusta, died Friday, July 9, 2004.
Service will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, July 13, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors include: son, Darrell Henry of Wichita; sister, Wilma Cook of Wichita; four grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Memorials with Hospice Care of Kansas and Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Wichita.
Broadway Mortuary has charge of the arrangements.
Delbert Kennedy
Delbert Raymond Kennedy, 75, Oklahoma City, formerly of Wichita, died Friday, July 9, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Ann’s Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
He served in the Korean War and retired a senior master sergeant after 20 years in the United States Air Force.
His hobbies included water-skiing as the clown with the Wichita Water Ski Club, volunteering time with the Augusta Air Museum, and playing volleyball.
Survivors are: son-in-laws, Paul Milliken and Paul’s parents, Wally and Faith Milliken; Mike Karst and Mike's parents, Herb and Tally Karst; grandchildren, Christy and John Milliken, Jacob and Max Karst.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Betty; daughters, Dorothy Milliken and Patricia Kennedy and Mary Karst.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Baggerly Funeral Home of Edmond, Okla., has charge of the arrangements.
