Arthur V. Schneider

Arthur V. Schneider, 100, Rose Hill, died Thursday, July 8, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday,
July 15, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Wichita, with Pastor Leon Heibert officiating.
Arthur was born to Fredrick and Anna Job Schneider on March 17, 1904 near Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He was the middle child of four brothers and four sisters of whom seven preceded him in death.
When he was 15 years old, he left Canada for Puyallup, Wash. He worked for a contractor until he was called into the ministry. He attended Glad Tidings Bible College in California and after graduation he pastored a church in Washington. While in college, he met Vallejo Stevens whom he married on June 18, 1931.
He pastored churches in Wash., Calif., Colo., and Kansas. He also farmed in Washington and Kansas. When his children left home, he went back to ministry full-time. He semi-retired and lived at the Assembly of God Wheatstate Camp in rural Augusta for 33 years. He moved to Andover for a year before moving to Rose Hill.
His survivors include: sister, Florence Lelli of Stevensville, Mont.; daughter and son-in-law, Helen
Florence and Arnal P. McDaniel of Coupeville, Wash.; son-in-law, Stanton D. Simmons of King, N.C.; grandchildren, Michael, William and Matthew Simmons of N.C., Debbie, Rowand, and Sherrie McDaniel of Wash., Cindy Clark of Va.; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Erma LaVera Simmons on Nov. 13, 2001, and his beloved wife of 67 years, Vallejo, on March 28, 1999 and now they are together forever with their Lord.
Memorial donations may be made to the Andover Assembly of God Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lakeview Memorial

Delbert Kennedy

Delbert Raymond Kennedy, 75, Oklahoma City, died Friday, July 9, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, at St. Ann’s Home in Oklahoma City.
His graveside burial will be at 3 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Augusta.
Survivors include: daughters, Dorothy Milliken, Patricia Kennedy and Mary Karst; three grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home in Edmond, Okla.

Belvadene Yates

Belvadene “Dena” Yates, 74, Rogersville, Mo., sister and sister-in-law of Terry and Carolyn Jonker of Augusta, died Thursday, July 8, 2004.
Her funeral service was held today, July 12, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Mo. Burial was at Payne Cemetery in Polk, Mo.
Other survivors are: daughter, Merry Kuhlman of Tacoma, Wash.; son, Steve Schmidt of Rogersville, Mo.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Dick Jonker of Colwich, Dan Jonker of Wichita; sister, Judy Rudosell of Loveland, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: parents, August Jonker and Juanita Keith Jonker; husband, Robert Yates.
Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Mo. handled the arrangements.

Helen Fyfe

Helen Fyfe, 96, Fredonia, sister of LeVada Schneider of Douglass, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, at the Fredonia City Cemetery.
Other survivors include: son, Larry of Fredonia; daughters, Twila Carr of Fredonia, Rose Colhouer of Chanute; step daughter, Inez Frye of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Frank Schweda of Lawrence.
Timmons Funeral Home of Fredonia has charge of the arrangements.
