Donald Bryan
Donald P. Bryan, 78, Manhattan, farmer and arborist, father and father-in-law of Donna K. and James Whitehill of Augusta, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home in Manhattan. Graveside service with military honors will be at 2 p.m. in the Lincoln City Cemetery in Lincoln.
Other survivors include: son, Jerry D. Bryan of DeRidder, La.; daughter, Linda S. Parker of Benbrook, Texas; brother, Delbert Bryan of Beloit; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lois A. (Allison) Bryan, son, Roger A. Bryan; his parents, John and Esther Bryan; brothers, Max, Oliver, and Loren Bryan; and granddaughter, Kelly Bryan.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Crestview Christian Church of the Manhattan Lions Club.
David Craig Simmons
David Craig Simmons, 50, formerly of Andover, retired excavator, brother of Rory Simmons of Augusta, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004.
Graveside service at 10 a.m. Friday, in Andover Cemetery.
Other survivors include: daughters, Candida Walters of Seymour, Ind., Tina Simmons of Medora, Ind., Davida Simmons of Derby; parents, Jack and Lillian Simmons of Golden, Texas; brother, Jim Simmons of Golden, Texas; four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Community Bank of Wichita.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East is handling the arrangements.
Delores M. Hockenberry
Delores M. Hockenberry, 71, Mulvane, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.
Service arrangements are pending.
Other survivors are: sons, George Smith III of Mulvane, Joe Smith of Sedgwick, John Smith of Augusta; daughter, Jenny Perkins of Augusta; three grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
All Faiths Funeral Service of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Gerald “Gary” Dean Parker, 53, Rose Hill, Fuel Tech delivery driver, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.
Viewing from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta..
There will be a gathering of friends in the Augusta home of Michelle Trebbe, 26 Angelina, at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include: sons, Steven Parker and Justin Mitchell, both of Augusta; daughters, Shelby Parker of Kansas City and Willow Parker of Wichita; sisters, Kathy Cook of Augusta, Frieda Hodgens of Benton, Gail Ross of Lumberton, Texas, Lori Parker of Augusta; four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to Gary Parker Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
