Owen E. ‘Gene’ Nesler
Former Augusta resident Owen E. “Gene” Nesler, 70, Port Charlotte, Fla., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2994.
Service arrangements were pending this morning in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, two stepdaughters of Port Charlotte and a stepson and his wife of Derby, several step-grandchildren, and his mother Edna Nesler.
Also surviving are brothers Dennis, Charles, (Billy a& Beverly) Nesler; sister Darlene (Larry) Ingram, sis-ters-in-law, Rosaline and Mai Nesler, all of Augusta; sister Joyce (Fino) Fessler of Rose Hill, brother, Gerald (ButcH) Nesler, and sisters Kathleen Northcutt and Shirley (Eric) Menne, all of Wichita.
Earl Joseph Schoenhofer
Earl Joseph Schoenhofer, 86, Augusta, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, Sept. 21, at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, Sept. 20, in the church.
Mr. Schoenhofer was a retired warehouse supervisor for KFC.
He was born March 23, 1918 as the son of Karl and Tillie (Smith) Schoenhofer.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie, daughter Dottie Kasper of El Dorado, grandson Cody Kasper of El Dorado, brothers and sisters, Margaret Stevens, Claire Ryan, and Charles Schoenhofer, all of Wichita, Larry Schoenhofer of Eureka Springs, Ark., Peggy Otis of Denver, Colo., Art Schoenhofer and Andover, Bill Schoenhofer of Lyons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Don, Ed, and Dave).
Memorials to St. James Catholic Church or Total Home Care or Hospice & Hospice have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of arrangements.
Frank Stull Jr.
Frank Stull Jr., 82, El Dorado, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Trinity United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Mr. Stull was manager of the Shady Creek Marina for 23 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of the home; a son, Larry M.Stull of El Dorado, daughters Marsha Griggs of
Leon and Jan Smith of El Dorado; a sister, Anna M, Morris of Cambridge, Mass.; 13 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials to Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University may be left at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
