Rosaland Gaskill
Rosaland Gaskill, 83, homemaker, Augusta, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2004.
Visitation from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, all at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Rosaland was a member of Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
She was also an avid card player who enjoyed a game of pitch.
Survivors include: sons, Dennis Gaskill and wife, Sally of Augusta, and Terry Gaskill and his wife Becky of Severy; four grandchildren, Ethan, Krista, Royce and Andrew; four greatgrandchildren, Katy, Natalie, Dylan and Trent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar. They were married Oct. 5, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Memorials are suggested to the World War II Memorial, PO. Box 96766, Washington, DC, 20090.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Elinor Dee Parks
Elinor Dee Parks, 78, Newton, retired sales clerk at Katherine’s in Newton, sister of Lora L. Tinkler of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 21,2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at United Methodist Church in Moundridge. Burial will follow in Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Moundridge Funeral Home.
Other survivors include: husband, Robert M. “Bob” Parks of Newton; daughter, Roberta “Bobbi” Parks of Newton; brother, Earl R. Roth of Moundridge; three grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Roth Parks.
Memorials may be sent to Moundridge United
Methodist Church or Newton Humane Society in care of Moundridge Funeral Home of Newton.

Vivian Simpson, 81, Augusta, died today, Sept. 22, 2004.
Funeral services were pending this morning with the Headley Funeral
Chapel.

Violet S. Amundsen, 86, Augusta, retired Marshall Fields employee, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004.
Memorial service 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, Elliston Mortuary in Hindsdale, ILL. There will be a private interment.
Survivors include: sons, Donald of Wichita and Douglas of St. Louis Park, Minn.; sisters, Ethel Olson and Anna Mae Jackson; brother, Harry Walin; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Hilding and Selma Walin; brother, Edward; sister, Helen Carlson; husband, Iver Amundsen.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita is handling local arrangements.
