Elizabeth Wherrell

Elizabeth Wherrell, 76, Newton, sister of Esther Lane of Augusta, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Other survivors include: sons, Michael of Peck and Marc of Manhattan; daughters, Mary Ann Lasiter of Newton and Myra Hilmer of Eureka; brother, David Cook of Horsaka, Texas; eight grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Petersen Funeral Home of Newton is handling the arrangements.

Howard E. Bratrude

Howard E. “Earl Bratrud” Bratrude, 85, Augusta, retired Department of Defense contract administrator and World War II veteran, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004.
There will be no funeral service.
His survivors are: sons, Gary Bratrude of Wichita, Richard Bratrude and wife, Karen of Wichita, George Bratrude and wife, Pam of Alpine, Wyo.; daughters, Susan Bratrude of Denver, Colo., Pat McDonald and husband, Roy of Haywood, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Red Cross, American Heart Association, or the Salvation Army.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Kent L. Hutchinson

Kent L. Hutchinson, 52, Augusta, City of Augusta meter reader, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Nov. 5, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
His survivors are: father and step mother, Charles and Laurel Hutchinson of Augusta; step brother, Kent and wife, Linda Keethler and their children, Seth and Erin of Sedalia, Mo.; aunt, Norma Bartholomew of Augusta; cousin, Jack Parker of Derby.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Preschool in Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.
