Barbara D. Proulx

Barbara D. (Winder) Proulx, 52, Augusta, homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with service scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wichita.
Her survivors are: husband, David F.; son, Damon R. Storm, stationed in Germany with the United States Army; parents, Lyle and Frances Winder of Derby; brothers, Steve Winder of Wichita, Ken Winder of Cheney; sister, Pat Kennedy of Wichita.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society.
Services are under the direction of Watson’s Garden Chapel of Wichita.

Evelyn Sobba

Evelyn Sobba, 88, Augusta, formerly of Garnett, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett.
Rosary and visitation at 7 p.m. this evening at the Farris-Feuerbom Chapel in Garnett.
Her survivors are: husband, Orville; children, Gary of LaCygne, Carol and husband, Tom Reiling of Augusta; Cindy Gannon of
Rossville, Kerry and husband, Ken Bohon of Augusta; 10 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Leslie and Mae Cleveland and brother, Dwayne Cleveland.
Memorial established with Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett.
Farris-Feuerborn Funeral Home of Garnett has charge of the services.

Homer E. DeWeese

Homer Eugene DeWeese, 78, Ponca City, Okla., retired Conoco Refinery operator and brother of Myrtle DeFore of Augusta, died Monday, Nov. 1,2004.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 3. Burial was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City.
His survivors are: sons, Garry DeWeese of Ponca City and Glenn DeWeese of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Taylor Otis and Anna (Briles) DeWeese; his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Lynn Wehr; sister, Rogene Smart.
The family has requested that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Arrangements were under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Ponca City, Okla.

Jessie Marie Coomes

Jessie Marie Coomes, 76, St. Paul, mother and mother-in-law of Barbara and Jeremy Gehmlich of Augusta, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004.
Funeral services were held today at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul.
Other survivors include: sons, Charles Coomes and Bernard Coomes, both of Erie; daughters, Jackie Collins of Erie, Mary Shue of Kingfisher, Okla., Edith “Dutch” Jordan of Haysville; brother, Joe Sharp of Coldwater, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established with Prairie Mission Retirement Village Chapel Fund.
Carson-Wall Funeral Home of Parsons handled the arrangements.

Jessie Patterson

Jessie Patterson, 85, Augusta, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004.
Service arrangements were pending this morning with Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
