Jack F. Turner
Jack F. Turner, 82, Augusta, retired journeyman and installer for Thermal Products, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24,2005.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Jack was born on May 20, 1922 in ElDorado’ the son of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Towner) Turner.
He is survived by: companion, Nellie Denning; sons, Ron and his wife Pam of Augusta, Jack W. and his wife Ursula of Coffeyville, and Lloyd and his wife Sally of Flager Beach, Fla.; daughters, Sandy Sisson and her husband Doug of Winfield and Marilyn Turner of Wichita; brothers, David of Arkansas City, Richard of Rosalia, William of Andover, John of Clay-Center, and Jim of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Norma Thompson, Barbara Hutson, and Mary Camp, all of El Dorado, Frances Healy and Carol Goss, both of Wichita; 21 grandchildren;
numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife Irene; son, Ray Clark; brothers, Harley,
Jesse and Joe; sister, Lois Kilgore-Williams. Donations to American Lung Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Fred Edwin Lipprand
Fred Edwin Lipprand, 96, Russell, USD 407 custodian and farmer, father of Karen Rhyne of Augusta, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russell.
Other survivors are: wife, Lydia; daughters, Jane M. Keel of Guymon, Okla., Doloris M. Kaufman of Newton, Sylvia S. Mudd of Russell; sons, Donald C. Lipprand of Russell, Kenneth F. Lipprand of Hays; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Carlson-Ford-Geisendorf Funeral Home and | Crematory of Salina.
Twila J. Long
Twila J. Long, 76, Wichita, aunt of Jaye Mayfield and Jack Sloderbeck, Jr., both of Augusta, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
Graveside service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, at Wichita Park Cemetery in Wichita.
Memorial donations may be made to Starkey, Inc. Hillside Funeral Home East of Wichita is handling the arrangements.
Hailey Elizabeth Bastian
Hailey Elizabeth Bastian, infant daughter of Kara Leedom and Kevin Bastian of Augusta, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2005.
A private family memorial service will be held.
Other survivors include: grandparents, Christopher and Stacy Sanders of Augusta, Viki and Bob Sutton of Farmington, Utah; great-grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Leedom of Augusta.
