Madeline Skaer Agard Davis
Madeline Skaer Agard Davis, 94, Augusta, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005.
Visitation 1 to 8p.m. Thursday; funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, both at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Mrs. Davis was born in Augusta on Feb 4, 1911.
She was the daughter of Arthur Wesley and Grace V. (Moyle) Skaer. Madeline spent her entire life in Augusta, graduating from high school in 1928, then went on to receive her teacher’s certificate from Pittsburg State College.
She married Ray Agard on Sept. 10, 1928. She married Donald Richard Davis on Nov. 21,1947.
Mrs. Agard worked as a payroll clerk at Mobil Oil, retiring in 1966. Madeline was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star for 50 years and an associate member of Book Club.
She is survived by: son,
Gary and wife, Norma Agard of Augusta; step son, Larry Davis of Fla.; brother, Dean Skaer of Augusta; grandchildren, Garrie Kancewick, Kay Powell, Jean Morgan, Lisa Wells, and,
grandchildren, Mikki Hall, Scott Davis, Todd Davis; 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and husband; brothers, Lowell Skaer of Augusta, Moyle Skaer of Pittsburg, and Arthur Skaer of Wichita; sister, Gladys Dyer of Tulsa, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Micheal Sullivan
Micheal J. Sullivan, 73, Augusta, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2005.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening, with family present from 6-7 p.m.; 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Thursday, all at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday
at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
Mr. Sullivan retired after 43 years as an electrician at I.B.E.W. Local 271.
Survivors are: wife, Betty (Rucker) Sullivan; son, Micheal J. wife,: Beverly Sullivan of Augusta: daughter, Patricia S. and husband, Kent Corey of Haysville; grandson, Kent Corey Jr.; step grandson, Josh Bailey.
Memorial donations may go to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Jane A. Wells, 67, DeBary, Fla., mother of Yvone Cox of Douglass, died on March 31, 2005.
Other survivors include: husband, Treat; sons, John Wells, Eddie Wells, Ralph Wells and Treat Wells Jr.; brother, Richard Shupe; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Phoenix Cremation Society of South Daytona, Fla.
Laverne A. Roy
Laverne A. Roy, 72, Wichita, father and father-in-law of Robin and Pamela Roy of Douglass, died on Monday, April 4, 2005.
Rosary at 6 p.m. Thursday; service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, both at St. Michael Catholic Church in Mulvane.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Other survivors are: children, Joseph and Kathy, Paul, David, John Cottle, Andy and Amanda, Mary Kay and Dave Austin, Beverly and Angus Baker; brothers, Eugene, Clifford, Albert, and Stanley; sisters, Viola Ricks, Donna Stevens, and Norma Griffin; 20 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund.
Smith Mortuary of Derby handled the arrangements.
