Doylene ‘Dodes’ Foreman
Doylene “Dodes” (Quenzer) Foreman, 58, Augusta, former curator at Augusta Historical Museum, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Norton City Cemetery in Norton.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. this evening at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Doylene was born to Doyle and Audrey Faye (Biesterfeld) Quenzer, in Norton on Dec. 25, 1946.
On March 9, 1985, in their home in Augusta, she married Eldon Foreman.
Doylene had a great love for antiques, allowing her much enjoyment in her 12 years at the Augusta Historical Museum.
She also had a great love for her family and friends; always willing to drop anything she was doing just to spend a few minutes with someone in their time of need.
You could usually find her spending time at her
grandchildren’s school activities, helping with fundraisers, volunteering her time in citywide events, or spending time with her ACOA group, which she cofounded in Augusta.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind: daughters, Kimberly Wray of Augusta, Tamara and her husband, David Ryter of Dallas,' iTexas-'brother,- Mike and his wife, Julia Quenzer of Colby; sisters, Susan and her husband, Elwood Thomson of Norton, Laurel “Pat” and her husband, Bill Sauvage of Oberlin; grandchildren, Audrey and Cassandra Wray of Augusta, Emily, Alexandra and Baby R. Rytar of Dallas, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Ray and Pat Thompson of Yukon, Okla.; six nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews; former husband, Robert Friesen and his wife, Debbie of Springfield, Mo.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Historical Museum.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
