Marjorie Alice Newlon

Marjorie Alice Newlon, 85 Hutchinson, mother of Joel Newlon of Augusta, died Friday, April 22, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home in Hutchinson.
Other survivors include: sons, Gary and Douglas; , daughter, Mary J. Harms; 13 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren.
Arrangements under the direction of Penwell-Gable Funeral Home of Hutchinson.

Lawrence J. Gudenkauf

Lawrence J. Gudenkauf, 77, Andover, retired carpenter and father of Ronald Gudenkauf of Douglass, died Saturday, April 23, 2005.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Services and burial will be held in Topeka.
Other survivors are: sons, Donald of Dewey, Okla, and Brian of Delaware, Okla.; daughters, Connie Close of San Diego, Calif., Teresa Flowers of Wichita, and Marygrace McGovern of Andover; brothers, Richard
of Topeka, David of Meriden; sister, Cecilia Peterson of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Blake Spencer Phillips
Blake Spencer Phillips, Wichita, born Feb. 10, 2005, grandson of Carla Hudson of Augusta, died Friday, April 22,2005.
Graveside service was held this afternoon at Phillips Cemetery in Reading.
Survivors are: mother, Sausha Phillips of Andover; grandparents, Kenny and DeeAnn Phillips of Andover; great-grandparents, Gene and Sharon Coleman of Wichita; great-great-grandmother, Leona Robison of Coquille, Ore.; two uncles and numerous relatives.

Joseph Clinton Eash

Joseph Clinton Eash, 84, Wichita, retired field chemist for Kaneb Pipeline, died Sunday, April 24,2005.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p,m. on Saturday, April 30, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
His survivors include: son, Douglas Eash of Bend, Ore.; daughter, Judy Clark of Arkansas City; companion, Winifred “Gerri” Richards of Wichita; grandchildren, Kristine Suther of Winfield, Julie and husband, Dave Golden of Davenport, Iowa; greatgrandchildren, Drew
Suther, Emily Golden, Sarah Golden, and Rachel Golden.
He was preceded in death by: brothers, Billy Dean and Walter, Jr.; son-in-law, Robert Clark;
granddaughter, Kathryn Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Junior Golf Scholarship at the Augusta Country Club.

Violet M. Gilley

Violet M. Gilley, 68, Wichita, retired Cessna employee, mother of Pam Patten of Augusta, died on Monday, April 18, 2005.
Visitation from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, both at Hillside Funeral Home East in Wichita. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Oatville.
Other survivors include: sons, John R. Gilley, Wichita, and Donald Gilley of Bacliff, Texas; daughters, Debra Threet of Wichita and
Anna Crane of Cherokee; sisters, Dolly Emrick of Kansas City, Mo., Mary Garrettson and Rose Garrettson, both of Coffeyville, Marie Emrick of Parsons, Helen McDill of South Coffeyville,Okla., Blanche Thomas of Wellington; 18
grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren.
Memorials may go to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home East of Wichita.
