Margaret Crew

Margaret Ellen (Carney) Crew, 93, Augusta, died on Saturday, April 16, 2005.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta.
in Augusta. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Margaret was born on March 26, 1912, to Dr. E.B. Carney and Nella B. (McKinney) Carney in Fort Scott.
She was married to I. Marion Crew on Nov. 1, 1945, in El Dorado.
She taught school in several Kansas communities and was a longtime substitute in the Augusta schools.
She was active in the Augusta First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Augusta Hospital Auxiliary and Sorosis Club.
Her survivors are: son, Richard Crew of Wichita; sister, Betty (Mrs. John) Miller of Cheyenne, Wyo.; niece and husband, Barbara and Armando Maldonado of Fort Collins, Colo.; nephew and wife, Edward and Olivia Carney of Farmington, N.M.
She was preceded by her husband in 1979; her parents, three brothers, one sister, and two nephews.
Memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Lillian Louise McDaniel

Lillian Louise (Deaton) McDaniel, 89, Augusta, died on Friday, April 15, 2005.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene, Okla.
Lillian lived in Okla, until 1987, when she retired to Augusta. She was a long time member of Blain County, Okla. Extension Office and a Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and received numerous state appointments. For many years Lillian was a professional seamstress and also a playground supervisor at Okeene Grade School.
She is survived by: daughter, Jeanette McDaniel of Augusta; sister, Tommie Lockard of Orange Park, Fla.
Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Woodrow “Woody”
McDaniel and her brother, Billy Deaton.
Memorials to American Heart Association & Tribute Processing Center, P.O. Vox 1653, Topeka, KS, 66601.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

JoAnne Butler

JoAnne Butler, 69, Wichita, sister of Carol Jean Dennett of Augusta, died on Sunday, April 17, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Faith Chapel Church in Wichita.
Other survivors include: sons, Doug Butler of Los Lunas, N.M., Darrell Butler of Wheeler, Texas, and Darrin Butler of Aurora, Colo.; daughter, Jennifer Caw of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; brother, Jerry Don Hollingsworth of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by husband, Don L.
Butler, and parents, Don and Romane Hollingsworth.
Memorials have been established with Faith Chapel, 6808 E. Harry, Wichita, 67207, and Calvery’s Rock, 2661 S. Meridian, Wichita, 67217.
Downing and Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Lila Lee Bates Littlejohn Minard

Lila Lee Bates Littlejohn Minard, 79, Wichita, mother and mother-in-law of Debra Littlejohn-Canady and husband, Doug of Augusta, died on Sunday, April 17, 2005.
Visitation until 7 p.m. this evening; funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at Affinity Mortuary in Wichita. Interment will follow at Wichita Park Cemetery.
Other survivors include; husband, Ira (Buddy) Minard of Wichita; sisters, Barbara Gurney and Dorothy Shields, both of Wichita, Joan Sims of Reno,
Nev.; step-sons, Gene Littlejohn of Wichita, Bob Minard of Leon and Bill Minard of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Cheryl Lillich and Theresa Littlejohn, both of Wichita; stepdaughters, Sandy McCune of Wichita and Betty Schomaker of El Dorado; 19 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Affinity Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Gary R. McAhren

Gary Ray McAhren, 61, Grove, Okla., retired auctioneer and Boeing employee, formerly of Augusta, died on Sunday, April 17, 2005.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Independent Baptist Church in Grove. Burial will follow in McLaughlin Cemetery.
Survivors are: wife, Linda of the home; three children, Bob, Jay and Neesa; nine grandchildren; numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory at Independent Baptist Church, P.O. Box 450723, Grove, OK, 74345.
