Earl E. Strong

Earl E. Strong, 86, Augusta, retired postman with the U.S. Postal Service, died on Thursday, May 19, 2005.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, at Walnut Valley Cemetery in El Dorado.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
The World War II veteran was born on Oct. 11, 1918 in Cedarpoint.
Survivors include: son, Larry Strong of Wichita; daughters, Sharon Malan and Shirley Kirkpatrick, both of Augusta; brother, Truman Strong of Great Bend; sister, Edna Mae Campbell of Fort Scott; grandchildren, Darren Malan, P
Paula Nichols, Josh Kirkpatrick, Adam Kirkpatrick; five great-granddaughters; one great-grandson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home.

John W. Pilcher

John W. Pilcher, 83, Augusta, died on Thursday, May 19, 2005.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Mr. Pilcher was bom on Oct. 18, 1921 in Mont Idaho.
He retired from the United States Army and Air Force after 20 years of service and also retired as a middle school teacher.
His survivors include: sons, Michael E. Pilcher, Sr. and wife, Carol of Seaford, Del., John Pilcher, Jr. and wife, Pat of Augusta; daughter, Linda L. Pilcher and husband, Steve French of Augusta; grandchildren, Christopher Pilcher of Dallas, Texas, Michael E. Pilcher, Jr. and wife, Mary of San Antonio, Texas, Kristin
V Pilcher of Los Angeles, Calif., Kathryn E. Pilcher of Wichita; Caity French , and Paige French, both of El Dorado; great-granddaughter, Catherine Pilcher.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, 115 W. Central, El Dorado, 67042.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Marc Kevin Laubhan

Marc Kevin Laubhan, 46, Augusta, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
Viewing from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with family to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, all at
Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Marc was born on March 29, 1959, in Goessel, the son of Eldon and Garnette (Lais) Laubhan.
He worked as a mechanical engineer and later as a program manager at Raytheon Aircraft.
On Oct. 8, 1988, he married Karen Bennett at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
He is survived by: his wife, Karen; children, Hope and Caleb; parents, Eldon and Garnette Laubhan of Augusta; brother, Murray Laubhan and his wife, Rachel of Jamestown, ND; grandmother, Helen Lais of Hillsboro; father and mother-in-law, Leland and Marylou Marley of Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, American Cancer Society, or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
