Ann Prothro
Ann Prothro, 58, Augusta, administrator for Raytheon Aircraft, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Dunsford Funeral
Home Chapel in Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Ann was born on Oct. 11, 1946 in Wichita, to Clarence and Hazel (Sharits) Dalke.
Her survivors are: loving husband, Gary; sons, Travis and Jaime Prothro of Wichita, Jeff and Leighann Prothro of Washington, D.C., and Brett and Marathana Prothro of Newton; grandson, Owen.
She was preceded in death by son, Aaron Ross Prothro.
Memorial to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Catherine Singer
Catherine Singer, 72, El Dorado, homemaker, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1932 to Vince and Artrecia (McCarty) Poole in Pendleton, Ky.
Her survivors include: daughter, Debra Gage (Gene) and Cheryl Hasstedt (Floyd), all of Neodesha; son, Walter R. Singer (Kelly A.) of Andover; sisters, Malissa P. Johnson of Louisville, Ky. and Lizzie Mae Raisor of Pendleton, Ky.; grandchildren, Gailyn, Lula, Angie, Victoria, Michael, Derek;
three great grandchildren, Michael, Grace, and Jack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley in 2001.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Terry M. Bush
Terry M. Bush, 58, Flower Mound, Texas, formerly of Douglass, Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation employee, died on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005.
Funeral service was held last Saturday at the Flower Mound Family Funeral Home.
His survivors include wife, Diana; daughter, Kellie Harshbarger of Rowlett
Texas; mother, Joan Bush of Douglass; brother, Bill of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren.
Memorial established with First Christian Church, 303 E. 4th St., Douglass, 67037.
Winona Sloan
Winona Millner Sloan, 95, Newton, step mother of Sally Reeves of Augusta; died on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005.
Funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
Other survivors are: sons, Clayton “Corky” Millner of Santa Barbara, Cal. and Robert Millner of Rochester,
Minn., sister, Erma Proffitt of Sterling; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Petersen Funeral Home of Newton is handling the arrangements.
Dorothy Jean McCune
Dorothy Jean McCune, 85, Rose Hill, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at Rose Hill Methodist Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Her survivors include: husband, Loren McCune; children, Janet Little and husband, Ronnie, Ronnie McCune and wife, Sandy, and David McCune and wife, Linda; sister, Betty Arnn; six grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren.
Arrangements under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.
