Jim Taylor

Jim “Burger Red” Taylor, 61, El Dorado, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005.
His funeral service was held this morning at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Interment followed in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.
He was born on May 9, 1944, in Pryor, Okla., the son of Oscar and Elizabeth Emma (Grimes) Taylor. On March 17, 1965, he married Freda Wyant at Great Bend.
They lived in El Dorado from 1971 to 1981 and then returned to Hays, where they lived from 1981 to 1985.
They returned to El Dorado. Jim was the owner of Taylor Trucking Company; Hod Rod Bail Bond; and was a reserve Butler County Sheriff deputy.
He attended the Church of the Nazarene; was a member of Blue Knights; Harley Hog Chapter member; and the NHRA National Hot Rod Association.
and husband, Tammy and Scott Darnall of Glasco; mother, Emma Taylor Shellenberger; brother, Bob Taylor and sister, Judy Burtchet, all of El Dorado; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two nieces.
Memorials in his memory for the Jim Taylor Memorial Fund may be left at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado or at any Equity Banks.
His survivors are: wife, Freda of the home; three sons and their spouses, Jim and Kathy Taylor of Hays, Joe and LaDonna Taylor and Jason and Jennifer Taylor, all of El Dorado; daughter


Victor E. Davis

Victor E. Davis, 49, Wichita, former union insulator employee, died on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005.
A private family graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
His survivors are: son, Colby; brothers, Marvin, Ron, and Rick; sister, Janie Todd.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta had charge of the arrangements.

Judy L. Rains

Judy L. Rains, 64, Rose Hill, retired from Cessna Aircraft, died on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Askren Cemetery, rural Yates Center.
Her survivors include: husband, Roy; sons, Richard Moore of Wichita and Stacy
Moore of Rose Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Doug Nixon of Douglass; step sons, Cody Vance of San Antonio, Texas and Chad Rains of Junction City; step daughter, Kim Quintana of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Fred Johnson of El Dorado; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may sent to the Roy Rains Family Benefit Fund, c/o all Equity Banks.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita.

Cynthia K. Roux

Cynthia K. Roux, 54, Wichita, Wichita Clinic scheduler, sister of Sylvia Traylor of Augusta, died on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005.
Visitation 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday; service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, both at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
Other survivors include: sons, Tim Roux of Virginia, Minn, Ryan and Kyle Roux, both of Lancaster, Calif.; brother, Rick Ramsey of Cabot, Ark.; sisters, Pat Malone of Pratt, Linda
Duncan of Andover, Kristy Barber of White City; many favorite nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Imogene Ramsey; brother, John Ramsey III; sister, Shari Ramsey.
Memorials to Gideon Bible Society.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

James Webster

James Webster, 75, Leon, died on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005.
Arrangements were pending this morning with Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
