Allen Rites Thursday
George R. Allen, 68, Route 2, died Monday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Dr. Herbert B. Cockerill will officiate and burial will be in the Ninnescah Cemetery at Udall.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Heart Association.
He was born Jan. 3, 1915 in Udall to Mark L. and Blanche Rutter Allen.
He married Eloise Schaaf Dec. 24, 1942. Shesurvives.
He was a retired executive of the General Motors Oldsmobile Division.
He was a Methodist. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Albert Pike Lodge 303.
Other survivors include daughter, Elise A. Schmidt of Champaign, Ill., and Emily A. Martinez of Encinitas, Calif.; brothers Galeard Allen of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Frazier Allen of Springfield, Pa., Roland Allen of Belleview, Wash., and Max Allen of Redmond, Wash.; sister, Emily Ringius of Port Angles, Wash., and four granddaughters.
Rites Set For Burr
Tiny Dell Burr, 98, Wichita, mother of Francis Burr of Augusta, died Monday at Keene, Texas.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old Mission Mortuary. Rev. Russell Burrill will officiate and burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita.
She was born April 14, 1885 in Texas County, Mo., to Thomas and Margaret Stanley Tuttle.
She married Arthur Burr Feb. 12, 1913. He preceded her in death in 1965.
Other survivors include sons, Harole of Keene and Edwin of Wichita; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Sister-In-Law
Dies At 80
Ethel Wolfkill, 80, Broken Arrow, Okla., sister-in-law of Verna Wilcox of Augusta, died Wednesday in Tulsa, Okla.
Her funeral service was at 10 a.m. today.
Several sisters and brothers survive.
A brother, Ed Wilcox, preceded her in death.

Douglass Native Dies In Oregon
Virgil E. Glaves, 87, Ontario, Ore., died there Sept. 2.
Services were held in Ontario Lienkaemper Chapel by the Rev. Thomas E. Young, United Presbyterian Church.
Glaves was born Nov. 20, 1895, in Douglass to James and Laura Lou Glaves. He was reared and educated in Kansas.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army July 23, 1917 and served in Europe on front lines in the Vasges Mountains, St. Mihiel and Argonne and Verdun battles. Upon his discharge May 11, 1918, Glaves returned to Kansas to work in the oil fields.
He moved to Fruitland, Ore. in 1935 and one year later went to Ontario where he opened Glaves Court.
He married Mary Krebs Wise in 1943. She survives of the home at 591 W. Idaho, Ontario.
Glaves was a member of Masonic Lodge 151 in Douglass and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5452, Ontario.
Other survivors are a son, Max of Escondido, Calif.; five daughters, Betty Loeffler of Castro Valley, Calif., Audrey Stone of Caldwell, Jean Shimp of San Diego, Mary Louise Peters of Trego, Mont., Jeanette Moore of Ontario. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Clifford.
Memorials may be sent to the Bethany United Presbyterian Church in Ontario or the American Heart Association.
