Harriet M. Tabor
Harriet M. Tabor, 83, Augusta, formerly of Towanda, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Burial will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
Harriet was born on April 9, 1922, in Burrton, the daughter of Miles and Myrtle M. McMurry Austin. She attended schools in Towanda and graduated in the Class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Walter “Lee” Tabor on Nov. 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2000.
Harriet’s memberships included the First United Methodist Church, the church circle, and a life member of Good Sams Travel Club. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to knit and crochet and travel with her husband.
Surviving family includes: son, Larry L. Tabor of Strafford, Mo.; daughters, Mary Tabor of Wichita and Laura Albert of Towanda; brothers, Junior Austin of Alamosa, Colo, and Roger Austin of Rosalia; sisters, Josephine Smith of Hillsboro and Betty Jo Worthington of Eagle River, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church and contributions may be left with the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado, who is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Dennis Parsons
Dennis Parsons, 73, Wichita, former owner of Dennis Parsons Automobile Co., passed away on
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Emporia Avenue Church of Christ in Wichita.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary Louise (Mundell) Parsons; son, Kent Parsons of Augusta; daughters, Adena Swearingen of Douglass and Denise Reid of Hopkinsville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Keith Parsons of Aurora, Mo.; sister, Doris Neeley of Wichita.
Memorials with Emporia Avenue Church of Christ and Hospice Care of Kansas.
Arrangements by Broadway Mortuary of Wichita.

Mildred Forgey, 79, Augusta, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m., with family to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday; funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, both at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Mildred was born on March 26, 1926 in Summersville, Mo., the daughter of Elmer and Marie (Mayfield) Bailey. She had worked as a waitress.
Survivors include: her husband, Bill; daughter, Janie Gillespie and her husband, Gary of Augusta; brother, Elvin Bailey and
wife, Claudine of Wann, Okla.; grandchildren and spouses, Stanley Calabrese and wife, Juli; Terry Calabrese and husband, Mark; James Gillespie and wife, Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Trista Martin and her husband, Jared; Billy Joe Nagy, Carlie Nagy, Tiffani Calabrese; great-great-grandson, Jaeden Martin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

Donald E. Cation, 77, LaHarpe, father of Keith Cation of Augusta, died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
Other survivors include: wife, Norma; sons, Douglas of El Dorado and Kevin of LaHarpe; sister, Verona Laver of Humboldt.
Penwell-Gable Chapel in Humboldt is handling the arrangements.
