Crowley, III

John R. “Buzz” Crowley, III, 75, Midland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at First Baptist Church of
Midland. Graveside services is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was born on July 10, 1931, to John R. Crowley, Jr., and Winona Mae Cook Crowley in Wichita.
On Feb. 14, 1974, he married Donna Lee Shannon Cobb in Midland, Texas. Buzz was the founder and president of Roundhouse Electric. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wichita for 50 years.
His survivors include: wife, Donna Lee Crowley of Midland; daughter and son-in-law, Mischelle and Richard Merrill of Euless, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, John and Shelly Crowley of Bedford, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Bill Dozier of Carrollton, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Sonny Buck of Midland, Texas; Tiffany and Deral Richard of Runaway Bay, Texas; Teri and Kevin Moore of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Lynn Davlin, Ashley White, Aaron Masters, Lauren Adamcik, Tiffany Adamcik, Brandi Dozeir, Adam Downey, Jack Downey, Shannon Moore, Greg Moore; great-grandchildren, Kateri White, Tyler Davlin, Sydney Davlin, Chrissie Davlin, Elizabeth Davlin, Nickie Davlin, Matthew and David Cochran; cousins, Glenda Mae White and Maryann Hayes; niece, Shannon Hettenbach.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Bob Crowley; cousins, J.R. Wilson and Carolyn Maulin; nephew, Brent Crowley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Salvation Army, 300 S. Baird, Midland, TX, 79701.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Midland, Texas.



Margaret ‘Madge’ McKercher

Margaret H. “Madge” McKercher, 78, Augusta, passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, 2006.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Wichita.
Madge was born in Columbia, Mo., the daughter of Dr. Albert G. and Theodosia C. (Cobb) Hogan. She graduated from Stephens College and University of Missouri. She then taught school in Wichita and was first chair violinist in the Wichita Symphony.
She married Donald C. McKercher in 1955 in Columbia, Mo. They moved
to Media. Penn, in 1962. They raised two sons. Madge was first chair violinist in the Delaware County Symphony and a part time music instructor.
After returning to Augusta, she substituted in the Augusta school system.. She was a member of P.E.O., Grace Presbyterian Church and was active in the Augusta Book Club.
Madge dearly loved her family and friends and was a positive influence on all who knew her.
Survivors include: husband, Don; sons, Cam and Scott; grandson, Ryan; sisters, Amelia Graves and Catherine Minor.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Trinity Hospice of Kansas, 1938 N. Woodlawn, Ste. 214, Wichita, 67208.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eleanor Rumsey Nelson

Eleanor Rumsey Nelson, 92, Augusta, retired school teacher, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006.
Visitation with family present will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, and funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, both at
Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1913 in Emporia, the daughter of the late Walter Bliss Rumsey
and Clara Fleming Rumsey Glenn.
She was a teacher in the Augusta and Emporia school districts and a member of First Baptist Church in Augusta.
Eleanor is survived by: son, Kent Nelson of Houston; sister, Esther Goss of Augusta; niece, Sally Scott of Bella Vista, Ark.; cousin, Marion Stuart of Clay Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest T. Nelson and her parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
