Victor L. Papen

Victor L. Papen, 70, Augusta, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta. Burial will be at Kechi Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. tomorrow, with family to greet friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Victor was born in Lamar, Neb., on Sept. 6, 1935, the son of Virgil Clinton and T Geneve Monasmith Papen. \ He retired as a maintenance v manager at Gateway Inn in Liberal.
He is survived by: his wife, Martha; son, Michael s> “Sonny” of ■ Mannheim,
Germany; step son, Richard , (Katherine) Crowe of v Fresno, Calif.; step daughters, Leah Weston of Salem, Mass., and Toni McEnaney s (Roger Burns) of Grand j View, Mo.; brothers, Russell (Elaine) of Mt. Home, Ark. and James (Lorraine) of Rose Hill; sister, Kathryn Widener of Haysville; sister-in-law, Carolyn Papen of Tulsa, Okla.; four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step son, Joey Halvarson, and a brother, Robert N. Papen.
Memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice,
Christ Lutheran Church of Augusta, or American Cancer Society.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

Jewel Buckhanon

Jewel Buckhanon, 70, Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006.
Visitation with family from 7 to 9 p .m. on Friday, Feb. 17; services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, both at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Jewel was born in Wetumka, Okla, on Oct. 28, 1935, the daughter of Andrew Marcles and Mamie Victoria (Stout) Westerman.
She worked as a housekeeper at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
On Oct. 6, 1951, she married Jimmy Buckhanon in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Judy King and her husband, Joe, and Janell
Charlet and her husband, Art, all of Augusta; son, Charley Genter and his wife, Michelle of El Dorado;
sister, Geneva Patterson and Corene Basquez and Jacqueline Rogers, all of Augusta;
Wilma Crockett of Susanville, Calif. and Maxine Rogers of Wetumka, Okla.; grandchildren, Tanya Austin (Kevin),
Mallory, Macy and Hunter Genter; step grandchildren, Wendy (Jimmy) Mills, Keith (Robyn) Tabing; five greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl Raymond Penrod.
Memorial contributions may be made to Victory in the Valley or Home Health Care Connections Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Kyle Roux

Kyle Roux, 18, Lancaster, Calif., passed away on Feb. 24, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 4, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
His survivors include: father, Dale Roux; step mother, Marie Roux; brothers, Timothy Roux and Ryan Roux; step brothers, Corey Justin and Elijah Wooldridge; grandparents,
Glen and Betty Roux; a host ' of aunts, uncles, nieces, " nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Roux.
He enjoyed his passion of ’ riding dirt bikes and the love he had for his family and friends was obvious to all that knew him.

Jean Aga

Jean Aga, 84, Rose Hill, died on Thursday, March 2, 2006.
Service arrangements were pending this morning with Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta..
