Rita M. Boehm
Rita M. (Schuler) Boehm, 75, Haysville, retired school cook, mother and mother-in-law of Dewain and Jan Boehm of Augusta, died on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006.
Vigil at 7 p.m. Thursday; funeral mass at 10 a.m. Friday, both at St. Cecilia Catholic Church , in Haysville.
Visitation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary in Clearwater.
Other survivors include: sons, Richard Boehm of Denver, Colo., Terry Boehm, Mike Boehm, Tom Boehm, and Jim Boehm, all of Haysville; daughter, Annette Bennett of Wichita; brothers, Raymond Schuler and Bernard Schuler, both of Ness City; sister, Frances Pfannenstiel of Hays; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard.
Memorial established with St. Cecilia Catholic School, 1802 W. Grand Ave., Haysville, 67060.

Carl Calvert
Carl Calvin Calvert, 82, Winfield, formerly of Augusta, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at the Grace United Methodist Church in
Winfield, with interment at Winfield’s Highland Cemetery.
He was bom on Aug. 17, 1923, in Strawn. He retired in 1986 from Augusta High School as a teacher and coach.
He is survived by: his wife, Dorcas of the home; sons, Chris of Wichita and Keith of Allen, Texas; daughter, Janine Allen of Tampa, Fla.;
sisters, Margie George of San Antonio, Texas and Kathleen Bailey of Lebo; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Alzheimer’s Association.
Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home of Winfield is in charge of the arrangements.

Letha M. Hale, 86, Wichita, passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006.
Graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Those attending should use the Ohio Street entrance.
Viewing from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Letha was born in Grove, Okla., on March 22, 1919, the daughter of Samuel Wiley and Martha Jane (Morrison). Lackey. She married Leon Hale on Feb. 10, 1961 in Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents;
three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials to Medicalodge of Douglass Outdoor Flower Fund.

Lola B. Rippee, 99, Augusta, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006.
Funeral service was held this afternoon at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery.
Her survivors are: grandchildren. David Rippee, Kim Rosen, Sue Maness, Mike Ferguson, Tracy Ferguson,
Sherry Jones, Rick Rippee, and Debra Grove-Kieffer;
12 greatgrandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Huey; sons, Homer Rippee and Dick Rippee; daughters, Dorothy Ferguson and Virginia Winger; grandchildren, Sandy Nesler and Mike Allen; sister, Golda Hancock and brother, Norville Singleton.
Memorials to Lakepoint Nursing Center Activity Fund, Augusta.
Arrangements were handled by Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.

Dolores Marie (Cavin) Burdick, 86, Wichita, retired secretary-treasurer of Cavin-Burdick, Inc., passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the Broadway Mortuary Chapel in Wichita. Graveside service to follow at 3 p.m. at the Hebron Cemetery near Clay Center.
Her survivors include: husband, Hugh; sister, Rosalee Mayor of Denver; brothers, Lyman and Jim Cavin of Wichita;
son, Brian and daughter, Karen, both of Augusta,
sons, Alan of Los Angeles, Calif., Larry of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren.
