Edna R. Moody

Edna R. Moody 71, Augusta, died on Monday, March 20, 2006 in Wichita.
memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Augusta.
Edna was bom in Jericho Springs, Mo., on July 22, 1934, to Emil Howard Henderson and Ruth Florence (Throckmorton) Henderson, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker for many years and provided loving care for her grandchildren.
She is survived by: her husband, Earl J. Moody of the home; son, Curtis Moody of Broken Arrow, Okla.;
daughters, Cassandra Calhoun and her husband, Michael of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Charisse Rockett and her husband, Randy of Augusta;
brother, Vernon Henderson of Minneapolis, Minn, and Carl Henderson of Seattle, Wash.;
sisters, Helen Hendricks of Potwin, Margaret Foster of Wichita, and Betty Pierce of Dighton;
grandchildren, Kelsey, Andrea and Keesha Moody, Rhianna and Bralynn Bell, A.J. Calhoun, and Candice Rockett; great-grandchildren, Blake Loomis, Kayleigh McKee, Myka and Cailyn Bell.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Ora Beatrice Ehret

Ora Beatrice (Mitchell) Ehret 86, Augusta, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2006.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, both at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be at Kuster Cemetery.
Her survivors include. daughter, Donna Verrill Ehret Allen of Augusta; grandchildren, Larry, Leonna, Clarence Arthur, Kelly, and Shannon; greatgrandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kristy, Ashley, Monique, John (Blu), Samantha, Max, Kevin, Kylee, and Carey; great-
great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lane; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merle and Barbara Ehret of Augusta; sister-in-law, Lucille Ehret of Texas.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Don Verrill Ehret, daughter, Myra Patricia Mae Ehret Frost, and sister, Thelma Carrie Mitchell McKaskle.
Memorials to Hospice Care of Kansas.
Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta is handling the arrangements.
Frank Watson

Frank Watson, 94, Augusta, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,March 29, at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tomorrow evening at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Frank was born in Rolla, Mo., on August 7, 1911, the son of Andrew and Ethel Mae (Langley) Watson.
He retired as a transportation supervisor from Mobil Refinery after 40 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many years. On Sept. 9, 1933 he married Laree McVay. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: son, Jack Watson and wife, Mary Ann; daughter, JoLynn Dennett, all of Augusta; four grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Memorial with the Augusta First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Avanell N. Wiseman

Avanell N. Wiseman, 84, McPherson, formerly of Augusta, died on Friday, March 24, 2006.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 28, at the Douglass United Methodist Church in Douglass.
Interment will be at the Douglass Cemetery.
Avanell was born on June 30, 1921 in Douglass, the daughter of Virgil and Mattie Warren (Elder) Clay.
She graduated from Douglass High School in 1939 and married Charles N. Wiseman, Jr. on Aug. 26, 1940 in Hutchinson.
She was a retired buyer and clerk for the C.R. Calvert store in Augusta and a secretary manager for the Augusta and Hill City Chambers of Commerce.
She is survived by: husband, Charles M. Wiseman, Jr. of the home; daughter, Judy Carson and husband, Bob of McPherson;
grandsons, Chuck Carson of Hutchinson, Christopher Carson of Parker, Colo., and Craig Carson of McPherson; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virgene Davis and Betty Joyce Jones.
Memorials may go to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Stockham Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, 67460.
