Mother Dies
In Indiana
Ora May Toe, 84, Shelbyville, Ind., mother of Ellen Marie Noeller of Augusta, died Oct. 7 at hospital there.
Her services were at 1:30 p.m. today at the Murphy Mortuary in Shelbyville.
She was born March 22, 1899 in Barthomew County in Indiana to Russell and Agnes Snider Fetter.
She married Robert Ernest McClain who preceded her in death.
She married Russell Z. Poe who also preceded her in death.
Surivivors include other children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ex-Augustan
Dies At 68
Myrl E. Reed, 68, El Dorado, former owner of the Reed Furniture Store in Augusta, died last night at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Graveside services will be at the By Thursday Cemetery in Morrow, Ark.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
He was born July 16, 1915 in Evansville, Ark., to Emmett and Clara Longwith Reed.
He married Hazel Frye Aug. 9, 1951 in Ozark, Ark. She survives.
He was the circulation manager for the Wichita Eagle for 18 years before operating the furniture store in Augusta. For the past 12 years he operated the Reed Furniture Store in El Dorado.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Peggy Ann Douglas of Fort Smith, Ark., and a granddaughter.
Graveside Rites For Fitzgerald
Ethel Fern Irene Fitzgerald, 82, 802 E. Kelly, died today at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Gravesides services will be at the Elmwood Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Art Wilson will officiate.
She was born Aug. 21, 1901 in Trimble, Mo., to James Austin and Sarah Elizabeth Fither Powell.
She married Lloyd S. Fitzgerald in 1965. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, M.L. Keller of Montaget, La.; a daughter, Helen Hester of Augusta; a sister, Hazel Tharp of Iola; nine grandchildren including Linda Ridge of Augusta, and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Grandfather Dies In Wichita
Luther T. Marbut, grandfather of Ray and Trenda Marbut of Augusta, died Monday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hoberts-Blue-Bamett Funeral Home in Emporia. Rev. George Goudie of Augusta will officiate and burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Emporia.
A memorial has been established with the Flinthills
Chapter of the American Heart Association. Donations to the memorial may be sent to the funeral home.
Marbut, a resident of Emporia, was a retired employee of Marathon Oil Company in Robinson, Ill. After 34 years with the company, he retired to Emporia for eight years before his death.
He was born Sept. 2, 1910 in Monett, Mo., to Finis T. and Mintie Patten Marbut.
He married Della Valentine
in Cassville, Mo., on Oct. 15, 1929. She survives him in Emporia.
He is also survived by a son, Charley of Greenville, Ill, and two daughters, June Smith of Greensburg and Jean Harris of Emporia.
Other survivors include his brothers Leon of Monett, Mo., Merle of Hanford, Calif., a half-brother Lester Points of Britton, Okla., a sister Violet Hinton, Mustang, Okla., a half-sister, Evon Zeller, Independence, Mo., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bill Marbut and by a daughter, Jean Marbut.
