Eleanor Ruth (Britain) Sires, 88, homemaker, Augusta, died on Monday, June 26, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Her survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Max Manz of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Vicki Sires of Melbourne, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
Jourdan Rush
Jourdan Michelle Rush, 18, Leawood, great-granddaughter of Imogene Snell of Augusta, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2006.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, at Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at Calvary Cemetery in Garden Plain.
Other survivors include: parents, Russell and Kathleen Rush of Leawood; brother, Joshua Rush of Baltimore, Md.; grandmothers, June Burger of Iola and Georgene Rush of Wichita; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements by McGilley State Line Chapel in Kansas City, Mo.
Rinnie Ruth Walker
Rinnie Ruth (Beard) Walker, 93, homemaker, Andover, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006.
Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening; funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 30, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Her survivors include: daughter, Yvonne Burkholder, El Dorado; sons, Carl Walker, Joplin, Mo. and Stanley Walker, Wichita; sister, Leona Ridenour, Ozark, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 41 greatgrandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may go to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
Lynzo Vaughn
Lynzo Vaughn, 71, Douglass, retired Cessna expeditor, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Douglass Cemetery.
His survivors are: wife, Lucy; sons, Randy and Jim; daughters, Doni Reimer, Robi Kellough and Tracy Browning; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.
Hilda Rogers
Hilda (Aaron) Rogers, 72, Wichita, homemaker, mother and mother-in-law of Linda and Frank Pate of Douglass, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006.
Funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors include: son, Jerry of Wichita; brother, Wayne Aaron of Wichita; six grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon “Pete.”
Memorials may go to American Heart Association and Colonial Heights Assembly of God.
Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita has direction of the arrangements.
LaVerne F. McKay
La Verne F. McKay, 83, Augusta, retired 35 years as Boeing photographer, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2006.
He graduated from Isabel High School in 1941 and served in the United States Army during World War II.
Funeral service was held this afternoon at Dunsford-Zeiner Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: sons, Rick McKay of Kansas City, Kans. and Tim McKay of Winfield; daughters, B. Charlita Moreland of Augusta, and Pennie McKay of Boise, Ida.; brother, John McKay of Nauvinway, Mich.; sisters,
Emma Jean Swisher of Pratt and Geneva Gregg of Derby; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: spouse, J. Maxine McKay; brothers, Roy and Joe McKay; sister, Ruby Laverntz.
Memorials to Kansas Veteran’s Home in Winfield and Hospice Care of Kansas.
Arrangements were under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
