Martha F. Green
Martha F. Green, 74, Augusta, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Martha was born in Newton on April 26, 1932, the daughter of Paul C. and Nancy A. (Gibson) Petty.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a presser at McVay Cleaners in Augusta.
On Dec. 23, 1948 she married Thomas R. Green in El Dorado.
She is survived by: children, Thomas, Richard, and David; grandchildren; greatgrandchildren and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 24, 2001. A grandchild and a brother preceded her as well.
Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron, Augusta, 67010.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
William “Bill” Weston
William “Bill” Weston, 78, Augusta, retired after 37 years as boiler maintenance employee for Coleman Company, died on Thursday, June 22, 2006.
Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 26, both at Dunsford-Zeiner
Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Augusta.
He was born on March 26, 1928 in Vinson, Okla., the son of William and Bessie Holmes Weston. He married Mary Mifflin on June 13, 1952 in Harrisonville, Mo.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Light House Church in El Dorado.
He is survived by: wife, Mary; son, Rocky and wife, Becky of Augusta; daughter, Deannie Weston of Augusta; brothers, Russell of Unionville, Mo., Jim of Stateville, N.C., and Fred of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Terance, Amy and Leah Weston; and Amanda and Joshua Deeder; great-grandchild, Zoe Gilbert.
Memorial donations may go to the Pentecostal Light House Church.

Pearl Lamar, 81, Augusta, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2006, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Mrs. Lamar was cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
She was born on April 6, 1925 in Coffeyville, the daughter of William and Kate (Fiscus) Mooneyham, and raised in Coffeyville.
On Aug. 6, 1937, she married William Lamar. They were married for 63 years. He passed away on Aug. 29, 2000. Pearl was a homemaker all of her life and a longtime Augusta resident. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Augusta.
Her survivors include: son, Bobby Gene Lamar of McPherson; daughters, Mary Berrier of Augusta, Shirley Ann Sell of Strassburg, Colo., and Virginia Lee Buttermore of Salina; two sisters, Mildred Johnson of Coffeyville and Vernice Ackridge of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded
in death by: son, Billy Joe Lamar, two daughters at birth; daughter, Peggy Jo at one month old; four brothers and three sisters.
A memorial fund in her memory has been established with the First Assembly of God Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home of Augusta.
Gary A. Loyd
Gary A. Loyd, 70, Albuquerque, N.M., brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn and Ned Middleton of Augusta, died on May 25, 2006.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 3, at Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
Other survivors are: brother, James Loyd of Wichita; seven nieces and seven nephews.
David Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan has charge of the arrangements.
