Brother Dies In El Dorado
Mervin White, 71, El Dorado, brother of Mildred Williams and Leona Page, both of Augusta, died Thursday at the Halstead Hospital.
His service was at 10 a.m. today at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Randy Gauger officiated. Burial was in the Hamilton, Kan., cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
He was born Sept. 7, 1912 in Cassoday to Walter and Edith Minard White.
He married Irma Curry Aug. 20, 1974 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a retired Skelly refinery employee.
Other survivors include a son, Ernest of Burbank, Wash.; daughters, Becky Stone of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen White of Rockville, Md.; stepson, Thomas Curry of Atlanta, Ga.; stepdaughters, Louise Davies of Wichita; brothers, Nolan of Wichita, Marion of Colorado, LeRoy of California; sister, Vena Mohler of Leon.

Brother Dies In Benedict
James E. Chenault, 55, Benedict, brother of Mary Moody, Opal Tway and Maxine Riggs, all of Augusta, died Sunday at his home.
His service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia.
Rev. Carl A. Heien will officiate and burial will be at the Weakley Cemetery near New Albany.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was born July 31, 1928 in Butler County to James B. and Ellen E. Tribble Chenault.
He married Evelyn I. Adams Sept. 17, 1951 in Fayetteville, Ark. She preceded him in death Feb. 9, 1980.
Survivors include four daughters, Gayle Young, Sandra Chanault, both of Benedict, Laura Wadewitz of Cherryvale, Teresea Page of Carthage, Mo.

Ex-Augustan Dies At 51
Billie J. Walker, 51, McPherson, formerly of Augusta and the daughter of Virginia Swanner of Douglass, died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the First Christian Church in McPherson. Dr. Norman E. Jacobs will officiate and burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church in McPherson or the American Cancer Society.
She was born Aug. 9, 1932 in Dumas, Ark., to Homer and Virginia Williams Davis.
She was a member of the Christian Women Fellowship. She was a 25-year member of the Xi Gamma Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include sons, James Randall Walker and Jon Richard Walker; daughters, Alison Renae Flood, all of McPherson; brothers, Richard Davis of Topeka; Sonny Swanner of McPherson and Tom Swanner of Enid , Okla.; sisters, Jean Halfacre of Truman, Ark.; granddaughter, Jennifer Flood.
Glidden Funeral Home in McPherson is in charge of arrangements.

Dreiling Girl Buried Today
Heather Ann Dreiling, 10-month-old daughter of Rick and Eileen Dreiling, was buried today in Calvary Cemetery of rural Augusta. She died Wednesday night at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A funeral service for the infant was held at 3 o’clock this afternoon in St. James Catholic Church. Father James Eatough officiated.
Heather Ann is survived by her parents, a sister, Hanna Marie, all of the home; grandparents, Alma and Mary F. Dreiling of Victoria; great grandparents, Sophia Dreiling of Victoria, and Anna Walters of Hays.

Helen Grewing Dies At 50
Helen Grewing, 50, Leon, wife of Lyle Grewing a Haverhill Elementary School teacher, died Tuesday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wichita. Rev. Charles O’Connor will officiate and burial will be at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
She was born May 24, 1933 to Marvin and Lela Ashton Bryant.
She married Lyle Grewing June 9, 1951.
She was a retired medical aide.
Survivors include sons, Danny L. of Wichita, William L., of Jacksonville, Ark., and Dwight A. of Powhattan; daughters, Julie A Persefield of Yuma, Ariz., and Tina Grewing of the home; mother, Lela Bryant of Wetmore; a brother, Ronald E. Bryant of Bismark, N.D.; a sister, Beverly B. Suther of Casper, Wyo., and seven grandchildren.
Cochran Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Rites Pending For Dreiling Girl
Funeral services were pending today for Heather Dreiling, infant daughter of Rick and Eileen Dreiling of Augusta.
Heather, less than a year old, died last night at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Raymond Wells, 61, Wichita, father of Virginia Stilwell of Augusta, died Thursday at St. Joseph Medical Center.
His service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Apostolic Church in Wichita.
