Augusta, self-employed mechanic, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.
Service arrangements are pending with Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Eugene K. Livengood
Eugene K. Livengood, 67, El Dorado, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the First Church of the Nazarene in El Dorado. Internment will follow in Gnadenau Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Visitation with family this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Eugene was born on July 12. 1939 on a farm in Hodgeman County, the son of Cecil and Vivian Livengood. Eugene retired from Boeing as a planner in 1995.
He also worked for Skelly Pipeline and Speary in Wichita. He enjoyed working on the Wichita Police Reserves and was a member of the Kansas Air National Guard. Eugene was a nature lover and loved all of God’s creatures.
He could be found many times sitting on the porch just listening to the different birds singing.
He enjoyed squirrels and rabbits and drives to the El Dorado Lake where Candy would spot deer, armadillo, squirrels and lots of species of birds — and especially the geese that he enjoyed feeding.
Eugene had a special love for gab and enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends on Saturday mornings. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by: his wife, Candy of the home; his father, Cecil of Overland Park ; brothers and their spouses, Don (Sandra) Livengood of Wichita, and Ken (Linda) Livengood of Overland Park of Overland Park; sister, Kathy Livengood of Overland Park; first wife, Joyce Livengood of Wichita; two stepsons and spouses, John (Christy) Watkins of Rose Hill, and James (Kathy) Watkins of Augusta; step grandchildren, Aaron Watkins of Rose Hill, Ryan, Garrett and Blake Watkins of Augusta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Eugene was preceded in death by his son, Nathan; his mother, Vivian, and sister, Bonnie.
Memorials in his memory for the First Church of the Nazarene in El Dorado may be left with Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
His survivors include: parents, Robert and Kerry Jones of Haysville, Cheryl and Stephen Sanford of Wichita; brother, Justin (Jenny) of Augusta; step brother, Keith Lowden of Haysville; sister, Kelly (Pete) Jones of Augusta; step sisters, Kami Lowden of Haysville and Sally Holcomb of Bend, Ore.; paternal grandparents, Eldon and Jody Jones of Augusta, Landon Jones, Kandace Saleah, Eva Holcomb; maternal grandmother, Ardith Coffey of Augusta; numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward
Coffey and his uncle, Darrel “Rooster” Coffey.

Ena Edwards
Ena Edwards, 70, Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006.
Graveside services at Fairview Cemetery, rural Augusta at a later date. There will be no viewing.
Ena was born in Aberporth, Wales on Jan. 8, 1936. She worked as a State Registered Nurse in England and as a Registered Nurse for Medicalodge in Douglass, Walnut Valley Nursing Home and Susan B. Allen Hospital.
On Feb. 6, 1962 she married Dean Edwards in Chicago. He survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Tony Popham and his wife Kate of Biggin Hill, England; Stephen Edwards and his wife Kim of Augusta; and Dean S. Edwards and his wife Shannon of Edmond, OK; a daughter Diane Edwards Rose and her husband Dallas, Augusta; and five grandchildren Erica, Cade, Cole, Dylan and Nolan.
Memorials to Trinity Hospice 1938 N. Woodlawn Wichita, 67208.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
