Charles M. Wiseman, Jr.

Charles M. Wiseman, Jr., 86, McPherson, retired area superintendent for Mobile Oil Company Pipeline Division, formerly of the Augusta and Douglass area, died on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass, with Rev. Martin Ewertt officiating.
He was born on April 23, 1920 in Wichita, the son of Maude Belle (Andrus) and Charles M. Wiseman, Sr. He graduated from Douglass High School in 1940 and married Avanell N. Clay on Aug. 26, 1940 in
Hutchinson. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2006. He was a member of the Douglass United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Hill City, and the Kiwanis Club in Augusta.
His survivors are: daughter, Judy Carson and husband, Bob of McPherson; twin brother, Harold Wiseman of Ft. Worth, Texas and brother, Bruce Wiseman of Udall; sister, Marion Flower of Wichita; grandchildren, Chuck Carson of Hutchinson, Christopher Carson of Parker, Colo., and Craig Carson of McPherson; eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Elmer and Gerald Wiseman.
Memorials may be made to Episcopal World Missions, in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home in McPherson.

James L.
Ducharme

James L. Ducharme, 29 manager and certified technician for M. Waldrope Furniture
in Ruidosa, N.M., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
He is survived by: his wife, Kasie, his children, Kaylee, James A. and Alexander Ducharme, all of Augusta; mother, Rosa Cloud of Ruidoso, N.M.; brother, Chuck Ducharme and his wife, Deena of Tularosa, N.M.;
sister, Patricia Crump of Navaree, Fla.; father and mother-in-law, Jeff and Dana Rogers of Augusta; brother-in-law, Jeff D. Rogers of Wichita; sister-in-law, Amanda Ulrich of Augusta.
Memorials to the James L. Ducharme Memorial Fund, in care of Intrust Bank.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Edward “Eddie” M. Landwehr

Edward “Eddie” Matt Landwehr, 85, Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006.
A funeral service was held on Sept. 30, in Winfield. Interment was at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia.
He worked 40 years in the meat processing industry and served in the United States Army during World War II.
His survivors include: his wife, Ruth of the home; sons, Wayne Landwehr of Cherryvale and Alan Landwehr of Holcomb; daughters,. Connie Rausch, Marjorie Landwehr-Brown, both of Douglass, Shirley Walker and Annette Landwehr, both of Winfield, and Catherine Landwehr of Wichita; two brothers; four sisters; 17 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren.

Richard Maddox

Richard Maddox, 79, Wichita, father of Judy Shryock of Augusta, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006.
His graveside service was held at the Highland Cemetery in Winfield at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 16.
Survivors include his spouse, Mildred of Wichita;
other daughters Linda Mann of Goddard, Vicki Brooks, Cindy Copridge, and Sonya Land, all of Wichita, and Sandy Heit of Midlothian, Texas; sister Winona Henderson of Garland, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and 16 greatgrandchildren.
The Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta was in
charge of the service.

Dolores Maxine Cox

Dolores Maxine Cox, 76, Emporia, died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for a later date.
She was born on March 28, 1930 in Latham, the daughter of A.E. and Lula (Koons) Grow. She worked as a cook at Ethel Janes’s and at the El Dorado Cafe, both in El Dorado. She retired in 1985 and moved to Emporia in 2002.
Her survivors are: son, Darryl Cox of Emporia; daughter, Candace Cook-Tharp and husband, Daniel of Augusta; grandchildren, Gabrielle Tharp and Trenton Daniel Tharp, both of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack Grow and Danny Grow.
Memorials may go to the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University, in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
