Lucille May Brunton

Lucille May (Bishop) Brunton, 85, Augusta, Cessna Aircraft risk loss manager over 40 years, passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Central Baptist Church, 7421 SW Church Road, Augusta. Rev. Ron Jones will officiate. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemtery in Augusta.
Mrs. Brunton was born on Jan. 12, 1921 in DeGraff, the daughter of Frank and Alma (Martin) Bishop.
She married Paul Harold Brunton on Nov. 1, 1946.
Her survivors include: son, Steven (Peggy) Brunton of Wichita; daughter, Cindy
(Jim) Sims of Wichita; six grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, Charles and Howard Bishop; infant siblings, John and Delores.
Arrangements under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.

Barnes

Marvin K. Barnes, 79, Augusta, retired barber and barber instructor, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with family to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Augusta Church of Christ. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Marvin was born on May 28, 1927 in Morrowville, the son of the late Verlin Amos and Mildred (Yeager) Barnes. He served in the
United States Navy during World War II and Korea, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
On Feb. 1, 1950, he married Martha Heberly in Minneapolis, Kan. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Keith Barnes and his wife, Sharon of El Dorado and Roger Barnes and his wife, Aletha of Augusta; brother, Leroy Barnes of Topeka; grandchildren,
Briony Barnes and Mallory Morton and her husband, Alan.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Barnes.
Memorials may go to the American Heart Association.

Viola Icylene Shaver

Viola Icylene Shaver, 95, homemaker, Douglass, passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at the United Methodist Church in Douglass.
She was born on March 21, 1911, in Adair, Okla., to John and Elizabeth Merritt.
She married Fred Shaver on April 13, 1932, in Delta, Colo., and joined the Nazarene Church on Jan. 1, 1933.
She is survived by: sons, Edward, Harold, and Charles; daughter, Freda Bergley; 14 grandchildren;
35 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; great-grandson, Joshua; parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
Memorials may go to the Douglass United Methodist Church.
