Ida L. Gooding, 82, Augusta, retired Beech crew chief, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18; funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, both at Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita.
She is survived by: sister, Opal Lawson of Buena Park, Calif.; brother, Reynod Guinn of Fayetteville, Ark.; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford.
Memorials to the Kansas Humane Society, 412 N. Southeast Blvd., Wichita, 67210, or to a charity of choice.

Jerry Maurice Engel, 64, Augusta, Boeing machinist, passed away, Thursday,
Feb. 14, 2008, at his home in rural Augusta.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Christ Lutheran Church, in Augusta.
Jerry was born on Aug. 28, 1943 in
Weslaco, Texas to Raymond and Aileen (Faidley) Engel. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the NRA. He married Sherryl Fowle on Feb.14, 1976 in Olathe,
Survivors include: spouse: Sherryl; daughters, Arlene (Scott) Samuelson, Ft. Collins, Colo., Sandra (Ned) Arnold, Nokesville, Virginia, Katherine (Rodney)
Wallace, Augusta; mother, Aileen Engel, Puyallup, Wash; brothers, Jack (Gayle) Engel of Aliceville, Robert (Sally) Engel of Jewell, Ralph Engel of, Neodesha; sister, Judy (Pat) Nolan of Puyallup, Wash; eight grandchildren.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Wichita.
Survivors include: husband, Ira Fears of Augusta; daughters, Ebony Dean and Leslee Harrell; son, Earl Fears; mother, Bernice Blair; brothers, Cecil Kidd, Harold Kidd, Arnold Kidd, and Paul Blair, Jr.; sisters, Vicki Kidd and Monica Blair; six grandchildren.

Paul M. McFarland, 90, formerly of Wichita, retired Boeing planner, father and father-in-law of Randy and Korla McFarland of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008.
Funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery.
Other survivors are: son, Bill; daughter, Paula Joslin; sister, Dorthy Cavit; six grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren.
