Jessie Lancaster

Jessie Lancaster, 83, of Augusta, passed away Monday, March 10th, 2008. There will be no visitation and graveside service will be 2pm Thursday, March 13th, 2008 at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance.
Jessie was born in Moark, Arkansas on October 12, 1924; the daughter of the late William H. and Martha Stella (McNew) Penrose. She had worked as a hairdresser most of her life in St. Louis, Missouri and had been an employee at Sears in Wichita.
On May 5, 1949 she married Charles W. Lancaster in St. Louis and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Brothers, Omar, Virgil, Willis and Floyd Penrose and a sister Ethel preceded her in death also. She is survived by: son, Rick
Lancaster; and Steve Lancaster and wife Patti both of Augusta; grandchildren, Jessica Lancaster; Sarah Green and Elizabeth Hoskinson; and 6 great grandchildren.

Gilbert Dean Snyder

Gilbert Dean Snyder, 85, Wichita, retired Beech Aircraft manager, passed away on
Monday, March 10, 2008.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Metropolitan Baptist Church-Wichita, Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Dean is survived by his wife of 65 years, Christine; sons, Dennis (Marcy) Snyder, Wichita, and Donald (Elizabeth) Snyder, Arlington, Texas; brother, Donald (Beverly) Snyder, Garden Grove, Calif.; four
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials to Metropolitan Baptist Church, Wichita.
Services by Broadway Mortuary, Wichita.

Eleanor Perry Harrington

Eleanor Perry Harrington, Denver, Colo., formerly of Douglass, died on March 11, 2008.
No local services.
Survivors include: sons, William “Bill” Perry and Peter Perry; sister, Marie Limoges; four grandchildren.
