Wesley Folck
Wesley Russell Folck, 80, of Walnut Shade, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 24; cel-bration of life at 2 p.m., at Forsyth Welchel Funeral Chapel in Forsyth, Mo.
Wes was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Little River, Kan.
Wes served his country in the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged in 1954 after attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He married Frances Dolores Taylor of Wichita in June 1946; she passed away in 1997. Wes was the service manager for Finn Distlnc., for 40 years.
He flew model airplanes for over 50 years and was an active Amateur (Ham) Radio operator as well; his call sign was WA0KGB.
Wes married Iva (Cummings) Moore on Feb. 14, 1999 in Walnut Shade, Mo.
Wes is survived by wife Iva; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Torrin Folck; daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Folck) and George McCoy; granddaughters, Catherine Daniels,
Christine Daniels, and Mallory McCoy; grandson,
Tyler Folck; brother, Richard Folck, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Glen, Robert, Larry, and Jean; first wife Frances Dolores (Taylor) Folck.
In place of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Daryn (Stacey) Stroud, Haysville, Amy Stroud, Tulsa, Okla., Shannon Galentine, Cottonwood Falls, Danielle Stroud, Port Arthur, Texas; eight greatgrandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Meredith, Clearwater, Eugina Burdorf; Cheney; brothers, Dick Calvin “Kelly” (Geraldine) Ayers, Clearwater, George Robert “Bob” (Roberta) Ayers, Wichita, and William “Bill” (Mary Ann) Ayers, Vancouver, Wash.
She was preceded in death by: two husbands, Ernest L. Stroud and Ellis “Jack” Betts; parents, Dick and Almira (Whaley) Ayers; sisters, Daisy Hutchens, Marion Burris, Ethel Woods, Ila Ayers, Wilma Williams, Alpha Coppock, and Doris Ayers; brothers, Charles Ayers, Zibina Louis Ayers, John Ayers and a step-son, Jr. Betts.
Memorial designated to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.

Miriam Louise Mann, Wichita, 86, formerly of Augusta, died on Saturday, March 22, 2008.
Visitation with family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heartland Community Church. Graveside service at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
Survivors include: sons, Paul Allen Mann II and Gregory Leigh Mann; daughters, Paulette Kaye Whiteside, Paula Louise Mann, and Polly Ann Berry; sister, Betty Anne Mclrvin; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mann.
A memorial has been established with Heartland Community Church Music Ministry, 457 S. Woodlawn, Wichita, 67218.
Services by Broadway Mortuary, Wichita.
