Delbert W. Torkelson

Delbert W. Torkelson, 83, Claremore, Okla., formerly of Augusta, retired aeronautical engineer with Boeing, died on April 24,2008.
A memorial will be held on May 4, at Claremore.
His survivors include: sons, David R. (Robin) of Catoosa, Okla., Raymond D. (Liana) of Augusta, and Mark A. (Tonya) of Cherryvale; daughters, Janna Glasgow of Wamego, Margaret (Brad) Arnold and Nancy (Gary) Rawlings, all of Augusta; daughter-in-law, Barbara Torkelson of Claremore; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jo Torkelson and son, Phillip L. Torkelson.
Memorials to American Cancer Society for Gleoblastoma Multiform Research in honor of his son, Phillip L. Torkelson.

Mary Jane Koranda

Mary Jane (Ruckebeil) Koranda, 71, Wichita, registered nurse and Associate Professor of Nursing at Dodge City Community College, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008.
Together, she and her husband, Rev. Thomas Paul Koranda served several churches in several states, including Kansas.
Viewing from 1-6 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening. Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, all at the funeral home. Graveside service at 3 p.m. in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Norwich.
Survivors include: husband, Tom; daughter, Sharon (Qing) Ma; sons, Stephen (Angela) Koranda, Scot (Elizabeth) Koranda, and Shane (Linette) Koranda; seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Dodge City Community College
Allied Health Department for nursing scholarships, 2501 N. 14th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801 or in care of the funeral home.

Lois Mark

Lois (Jewell) O’Connor Mark, 87, retired Wichita Federal Savings Vice President, formerly of Augusta, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008.
Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center.
Service 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 2, at Bethel Presbyte-r i a n Church, Wichita. Interment
following the service at the White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita.
She was born 1920 in Furley, to Roy Jewell and Clara (Bastow) Jewell.
She is survived by her children, Ron and Tina O’Connor, Jewel and Dean Frankenbery, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Dr. Todd and Sara Frankenbery, Benton, Dr. Wendy and Clint Reynolds, Wichita, Angie and Barry Park, Valley Center, and ; Patrick and Becky O’Connor, Wichita; brother Lester Jewell; nephews and nieces.
Lois is preceded in death by her husbands, Albert O’Connor and Verlin Mark; son, James O’Connor; parents, Roy and Clara Jewell; sister, Elsie Jewell; brother, Orin Jewell.
Memorials may be designated to the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Wichita.

Scott E. Fitch

Scott E. Fitch, 38, mechanic, passed away Saturday, May 3,2008.
Visitation with family will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home of Augusta.
His funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home.
Memorials to Kansas Fish & Wildlife have been suggested and may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors: beloved dog Coy; parents Bill & Mary Fitch, Towanda; brothers Steve (Amy) Fitch, Andale, Brad Fitch, Andover;
companion Bobbie Potts & children Brittany & Marshal, Augusta; grandparents Joe & Mary Doyle, Holton; niece Maddison Fitch.
