Floyd Harold Nichols

Floyd Harold Nichols, 75 retired Boeing inspector, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008.
Viewing from 1 to 6 p.m. and visitation with family greeting friends 6 to 8 p.m. this evening; funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home.
Surviviors: spouse, Shirley Nichols, Augusta; daughters, Vicki (John) Morano, Palm Bay, Fla,, Kim (Roger) Carr, Andale; brothers, Orville (Pauline) Nichols, Sapulpa, Okla.,
Marvin (Roberta) Nichols, Decatur, ILL., Kenneth Nichols, El Dorado, Jimmy (Janice) Nichols, Wichita; sister, Edith (David) Watkins, Augusta; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with the American Lung Association.

Velma Jean Williams, 75, Augusta, retired beautician passed away Mon-
day, May 26, at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, Kansas.

John K. Pierce

John K. Pierce, 95, Augusta, died on Sunday, May 25,2008.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
Survivors: son, Kennith Pierce; daughters, Shirley Smith and Patricia Big-gart; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-
grandchildren.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado has charge of the arrangements.

Lester L. Manion

Lester L. Manion, 74, Leon, retired USAF staff sgt., passed away on Friday, May 23,2008.
Wake from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening; funeral serv-
ice at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Survivors: wife, Anna; daughters, Julie Cruz, Laura Blease, Barbara LaValley, Patricia Flores, Susan Vigil, and Teresa Plumlee; five brothers; two sisters; 14 grandchildren.

John K. Pierce

John K. Pierce, 95, Augusta, died on Sunday, May 25, 2008.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1912, in Prospect Township to John and Etta (Rogers) Pierce. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Banks Construction for many years. He lived in El Dorado for many years, moving to Augusta six years ago to be near his family. He was a member of Towanda Baptist Church.
On June 29, 1931 he married Lois Marie Davis in El Dorado. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9,2006.
Survivors include: son, Kennith (Pat) Pierce of Augusta; daughters, Shirley (Melvin) Smith of Wichita, and Patricia (Phil) Biggart of Augusta; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-
grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters.
