Jean Weiss
Surrounded by her loving family, Jean Weiss of Augusta, Kansas transitioned peacefully following emergency .heart surgery to be with her
Lord on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11,
at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta. The family will receive visitors in the church fellowship hall immediately following services.
Jean was born on Oct. 9, 1929, and she married the great love of her life, Louis E. Weiss, on July 21, 1967. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother to her seven children, a committed grandmother and a “super-grandma” to her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. She served her community, her church, and her Lord in countless ways.
Jean is predeceased by husband, Louis and son, Lee.
She is survived by: her loving children, Jay Weiss (Sharyn), Ruby Weiss (Lee), Jon Weiss (Darla), Steve Wisdom, Laurie Weiss (John), Cheryl Hill (Dave), and Kurt Weiss; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister, Marilyn O’Connor (Jerry).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Augusta Meals on Wheels program do Priscilla All, 26 Angelina, Augusta, KS 67010, or the First United Methodist Church, 2420 Ohio Street, Augusta, KS 67010.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

for Local 669, died on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Rose Hill Friends Church.
