Chason Thad Emond was stillborn Sept. 9, 2008.
A private service was held.
Survivors are: parents, Steve and Rebecca; brothers, Michael, Gates, Garrett, and Cody; sisters, Taylore, Erin, and Sierra; grandparents, Pat and Anna, Tom and Anita; great-grandma, Helen.
Arrangements by Agape Care Cradle, Wichita.
Lavalle Tipton Gleason
Lavalle Tipton Gleason, 95, Augusta, died on Friday, Sept. 26,2008.
Graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City.
Survivors: daughter, Carol (David) Thompson; sister, Norma Lancaster; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.
Ruth Bacon
Ruth (Tomlin) Bacon, 96, Leon, died on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado; funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Leon Christian Church.
Interment will follow at the Leon Cemetery.
Ruth Tomlin Bacon was born on July 18, 1912 to Edward and Ocea (Johnson) Tomlin near Atlanta. She attended country school through the eighth grade and often rode her horse to school. She helped on the family farm until she married David Bacon on Nov. 25, 1936. They lived their entire married life around Leon, most of it on the family farm. She helped with the farming and could use most of the equipment. She was an accurate shooter with her .22 rifle and in later years, killed a skunk in the chicken house and a coyote that ran across the yard.
She was a long time member of the Leon Christian Church, where she served many years as a deaconess. She enjoyed music and dancing for many years. She took care of an elderly cousin in the early 90’s and then moved to Augusta, where she lived in an apartment until going to Lakepoint.
Survivors include: son, David (Twyla) of Leon; daughters, Mary (Glenn) Greider of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Phyllis Serafin of Tolland, Conn.; sister-in-law, Gladys Smith and brother-inlaw, Dude Porter; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, David; daughter, Irene;
parents; brothers, Robert, Herbert, Everett, and Mort Tomlin; sisters, Velma Hagga and Alberta Starkey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for the Leon Christian Church.

Audrey Louise (Wendt) Drouillard Gray, 84, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, with family to greet friends from 6-8 p.m.; services at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Audrey was born in Elgin, Kans. on July 5, 1924; the
daughter of the late Ralph F. and Corabelle (Terrell)
Wendt. She was the financial secretary for Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church for 30 years, as well as being a homemaker who enjoyed gardening.
Her first husband, Joe Drouillard Jr. preceded her in death in 1974 and on April 20, 1977 she married Leroy Gray in Augusta.
She is survived by: husband, Leroy; son, Donald (Lisa) Gray of Wichita; daughter, Monica Drouillard of Winter Park, Fla.; grandchildren, Josiah, Jaedon, Noelle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Carl G. Wendt and Fredrick E. Wendt.
Memorials donations to Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church or Victory in the Valley.
