James Joseph Stewart

James Joseph Stewart, 83, resident of Queen Creek, Ariz. and retired Vice President of Western Trucking, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at the Hospice Family Care facility in Gilbert, Ariz.
Visitation with family greeting friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
A Masonic graveside service will be held at 2 p .m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass.
James was born in Fredonia on Feb. 2, 1925 to James A. and Gladys (Art-ley) Stewart.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
James was a long time resident of Douglass and of Wichita.
Jimmy was a 62-year member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge 303 in Wichita.
He is survived by: John and Shirley Stewart, Emerson and Joyce Stewart, all of Augusta; Mary Florence Palmgren of Andover; Willard and Charlotte Novak and LaVera and Ken Leopard of Wichita; Francis Steivers of Malibu, Calif.; Bobby Burns of Gilbert, Ariz.; William and Aida Williamson of Los Angeles, Calif., and a multitude of friends and loved ones.
A memorial has been established with the Midian Plane of Mercy, 130 North Topeka Street, Wichita, KS 67202, or in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Horn

Billy E. Lanning Sr.

Billy Eugene Lanning Sr., 77, Howard, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at the Howard Twilight Manor Nursing Home.
He was the brother of Augusta resident Kathy Fouts.
Billy worked as a farmer and a janitor.
In addition to Mrs. Fouts, he leaves six sons; Billy Lanning Jr., Rick Lanning, Robert Lanning, David Lanning and Keith Lanning and Lonnie Smith; one daughter; Brandi Lanning, three brothers; Tom Lanning, Larry Lanning, and Terry Lanning, three other sisters; Wanda Clark,
Phyliss Friend, and Mary Wade; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18,2008 at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard.
Interment was in the Cresco Cemetery.
