Hazel A. Eldringhoff
Hazel A. Eldringhoff, 97,. of Augusta* passed away Tuesday, June 16,2009.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. Thursday, with family present to greet friends from 6-7 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Graveside service 1 p.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the Ohio St. Entrance.
Hazel was born in Andale, Kan. on Feb.9, 1912; the daughter of the late Charles Wilber and Flossie Gertrude (Deeds) Burress. She worked as a teller and cashier from 1929 to 1933 for First National Bank and then at Prairie State Bank until 1951. Hazel retired as assistant manager of Prairie Insurance, Inc. in 1977.
On Nov. 28,1936 she married Bill Eldringhoff and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28,1949.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Allen, Jerry, Wilber, and Ted Burress; sisters, Ruth Corbin and Frances Roman; and grandson, Shawn Eldringhoff.
She is survived by: son, Joe Eldringhoff and wife Regi; brother, Melvin Burress, and grandson Shane Eldringhoff, all of Augusta; great grandchildren Collin and Camren Eldringhoff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Augusta Public Library.

Frank Pennebaker
Frank Pennebaker, 91, Eureka, father of Dennis Lynn Pennebaker of Andover, died on June 13, 2009.
Memorial service will will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka. Inurnment will folloye in Virgil Cemetery.
Other survivors: son, Keith Wayne Pennebaker, daughters, Karen Wiley and Myrna Chambers; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to VFW Post #2712 or the Greenwood Coutny Historical Society. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045.

L/Col. Ronald C. Roell, 74, retired United States Air Force, of Andover, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009.
Rosary at 7 p.m. Friday . June 19 and Mass at 10
a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta.
Burial will be at a later date at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Goet-zville, Mich.
Survivors include: wife, Virginia; sons, Michael Roell, Steven Roell, and Robert Roell; son-in-lgrw, Larry Brazee; sisters, Connie Ortman and Caro! Beckman: brothers, John Roell and James Roell; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
