Maria Wendt

Maria (Cruz) Wendt, 75, formerly of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Westview Manor in Derby.
Services are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner West Chapel, Augusta.

Mary Alice Turner

Mary Alice Turner, 92, Augusta, homemaker and retired cook for Lehr's, passed away at Lakepont of Augusta on Wednesday, June 24, 2009.
Visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta. Graveside service at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, in Spillman Cemetery in Ash Grove, Kan.
Mary was born to Chris and Clara (Ellis) Jepsen on April 11, 1917, in Lincoln County, Kan. She married Willard Clifton Turner on May 4, 1951 in Woodston, Okla.
Survivors include: her sons, Gene (Linda) Jepsen of Lucas, Kan., and Jimmy (Teresa) Turner of Augusta; daughter, Judy (Pat) Johnson of El Dorado; eight grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and a brother, Paul Jepsen.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Theatre’s new digital projector in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.

Paula Jo Martin

Paula Jo (Lamborn) Martin, 63, Rose Hill, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Rose Hill Christian Church.
Survivors include: husband, Dave; daughters, Ginger (Scott) Robson, Rachel (Kevin) Victor, Hayley (Troy) Martin;
six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Youth Mime' Team, “Truth in Action,” c/o Rose Hill Christian Church, P.O.Box 12, Rose Hill, KS 67133.
Smith Mortuary, Derby, has charge of the arrangements.
